Ceriatone 2202 - Low Volume Demo

Mostly me noodling.. I feel like this amp doesn't get enough love, and I finally got an hour free.. so why not do a low-volume demo for those of us with neighbors?
The cleans are highly underrated on this baby-
Apologies for not messing with the EQ enough, I tend to play with a lot of dark bassy tone. Love it so far though, Ceriatone makes REALLY nice amps.
This thing can also get super nasty gain.. especially when it's cranked.

Great demo and a great amp. One of the things I love about the 2202 is the PPIMV. You can crank the amp (master and gain) and back the PPIMV off a lot, like to 9:00, and get feedback at low volumes. It would be great for you to demo that type of setting. Thanks.

sounds fantastic, thanks for sharing! curious if it can be pushed further towards the 80's "hot rod plexi" / hair metal kind of grind like a full fat JCM 800 2203 / 2204. would goosing it with a drive pedal get you there? I've been eyeing a mini JCM800 ish (including the massively overpriced Marshall SC20H - at least here, the pricing is awful...), but I'll need to dump a bunch more money into a good load box or attenuator if I go that route. the PPIMV is a huge selling point and I wish more small-ish amp designs would shoehorn that in there somehow! cheers! :)

Hi! The studio that I record at has an original Marshall 84' 2204 and this amp sounds just like it (imho). It won't get 'hot-rodded' tones on its own, but any decent overdrive pedal will get you there. I mix and match between a Fulltone OCD, an Earthquaker Plumes and a Russian EHX Big Muff and the tones are beautiful.

​@@mikelermanmusic found a good deal on the 2202, pulled the trigger yesterday. my first tube amp! now the waiting begins... I still gotta pick up a guitar cabinet for it. I can't crank stuff at home very often, so I'm leaning towards a 1x12 / 2x12 (would that be... quieter in series wiring due to the extra load??). will give me time to save up for some kind of loadbox + IR combination. :) cheers!

Are you saying it's too loud ot use at bedroom levels even with the Master all the way down?

You can 100% still play it at bedroom levels with the master on 1- BUT the PPIMV gives you much more tonal flexibility at lower volumes; which in my opinion gives this amp an edge over many other similar amps. This is the best low wattage JCM800 clone out there, and it's only $700 USD PLUS the PPIMV is included. Couldn't be happier- Full volume demo on the way!

​@@BeautifulGuitars365 Post Phase Inverter Master Volume. Sort of like a Master volume for the pre-amp, so you can turn up the regular Master volume for those Saturated tube sounds at lower volume

@@mikelermanmusic Yeah, we appreciate the video, but the one setting I was waiting for that you didn't try is Gain 1/2 to 3/4 way up instead of all the way up, turn that Master up to about 1/2 and THEN use the PPIMV to control overall volume, starting with the PPIMV at 9 o'clock, then noon. If you keep the MV down so low and the Gain full up, that PPIMV is not showing what it can do. You need the MV up more to get the power tubes cooking, turn the Gain down some so we can hear the amp's voice and the PPIMV lets you keep your hearing :)
