@@jeddpires Well the number one issue I ended up having with them is I bought the V20, which aside from having an under performing chipset for its flagship price, was literally the perfect phone. User replaceable battery, plus you could throw in an absolutely massive battery instead, it had an IR blaster to control any TV made in the last 50 years, it was thin for those that liked that kind of thing, it had a headphone jack with a quad DAC for all the audiophiles out there, and it had a tiny second screen instead of an always on display, which I personally preferred. And then they came out with the V30 which had NONE of those features but was slightly cheaper. And then the V40 came out and was just as expensive but still none of the features. The Galaxy S5 previously held the crown of best phone, only for LG to handily beat it with the V20, only for absolutely no one to ever try again.

Apple knowing everything about their users. Who could've thought of it?
@TamasKiss-yk4st2 күн бұрын
Everything is not equal with images, but sure it would be better if they show you the popup, telling you why they want to use your images (like training AI on it, or just picking the next photo app improving direction, based on the average environment where users are use their phone etc..) By the way it still way better like the mocking video from Samsung about the no Micro SD card slot, no charger in the box and no headphone jack, and they release their flagships in the same year with no Micro SD slot, no headphone jack slot and no charger in the box.. same for Google but they actually made the "circles" mocking video for the headphone jack when their next Pixel model was already leaked without the headphone jack slot...

Welcome to software testing. A modern way of checking if a feature is useful is to release it to a percentage of users and compare how much they use it compared with the people that didn't receive it.

didn't AMD use the 'xx70' naming first? I recall running HD 5770's in Xfire back in the day (the 8800GT/GTX days)

The way for Apple to make it stay on your iPhone is to have you download effectively an object detection model then run it locally another way would be for it to have you download all information about the area your GPS chip is reporting you are in then have the script you now have on your iPhone tell you what the camera is seeing based on the information you just downloaded that most likely will need updates too. As Apple wants their users to be happy with only 128GB of local storage getting downloads of 3GB for some countries as it will include everything for everywhere in the country will make that 128GB seem like not enough space quickly so sending it to the cloud where they can process it will keep their model of giving you less and calling it more still work.

If AMD actually does rename their GPUs to follow the Nvidia naming conventions, that's gonna be such a lifesaver 'cause I can never for the life of me remember the names to actually compare with Nvidia

My advice if you click the sponsor and play War Thunder: it’s a fantastic and super fun game especially if you don’t focus on the grind. The game didn’t get any more fun at top tier, the lower tiers are a ton of fun, so don’t rush, just enjoy and you should have a blast.

I love how OpenAI is yapping about profit but here they are still accepting only non-prepaid credit cards and offering not a single other payment method. I literally cannot buy a subscription and support just shrugs. Can't be that bad financially, eh?

So I looked up the camera and it's a holographic sheet that redirects light onto a hidden sensor. So it's not an entire light field camera embedded in a surface but at least now a flat pane of glass can also spy on you 😄

Like someone else said yeah a little dystopian. Just a tiny bit of 1984 tinge in there. Though depending on how atrociously it costs demand might be rather low.
