It's funny how everyone's all in the comments asking for more sunscreen review tests from Ramon, but can we just take time to appreciate this sunscreen he just reviewed?? Oooooooooh, I'm digging the hair swoop! Excellent review, as usual. Bit sad that it tends to give a white cast on bare skin - yet another sunscreen for the 'if I ever learn how to wear makeup' pile lol. Curious if you've heard anyone talking about Aveeno's reformulated sunscreens - the orange-label chemical-filter line, they came out with SPF 60 for face and SPF 30, 60 and 60 spray for body.

I have the same sunscreen. It does little a tiny amount of white cast on my medium tone skin. But I do let it set for about 10-15 mins then apply a tinted sunscreen over the areas where the white cast show. It’s affordable tho! And target sells it 😊

I surprisingly liked this a lot. I needed to buy an SPF in Hawaii and got this. It's surprisingly sheer (or as sheer as it gets for a mineral spf; I have a tan complexion) and also the consistency reminds me of alcohol based chemical spfs, which are my fav to use. It's even more surprising that it does stick to your face and is water resistant on top of being very runny and cosmetically elegant. Overall prob my fav mineral SPF sold in USA.

Yes so agree! Funny how it works different for people! For me it was actually a natural glow and I felt like it made my skin look really nice? Almost like evened out skin tone/texture without a tint. I may have to play around with it again soon. It’s been a minuto :) much love ramoncito!

Always so excited to see a new review by you! I recently came across the Bliss Invisible Daily Sunscreen through Taylor Wynn who gave it a rave review. Product seems to come out tinted instead of white like most other mineral sunscreens, so when Taylor applied it, it didn't seem to have much of a cast. However, she is relatively pale, so it's not like a white cast would really show on her skin. I was hoping you could give your review on how that performs for us darker skin toned folks!

@ The brand is Bliss, but as far as I know they only sell at Target or from their online store. Target’s only found in the US, and the online store only ships to US and Canada. It might be difficult to find unless they sent you PR.

Hope we get a review for the blue lizard face sunscreens. I just found out my store has them but I've seen mixed reviews from POC. Also trying to find which sunscreens, both in US and abroad, have the best UVA protection. There's a study that tested 20 US sunscreens and said that only 11 of them meet EU standards of UVA protection, but no where does it list WHICH sunscreens passed 🙃

Hi Ramon. Big fan from India. In India there's a sunscreen that's quite trending. It's Ceramide and Vitamin C sunscreen from Dr Sheth. It's not only affordable but also Moisturizing as well. It gives you a dewy finish. Why don't you try that sunscreen. It's an amazing sunscreen. It's an hybrid sunscreen though but it's so good. You should try that sunscreen though. It's beautiful 😍

I wish this were tinted too. I totally agree. I'm still on the hunt for a maffifying lightweight tinted sunscreen. And no, silicone based ones (Australian Gold tinted for example) are NOT matte. I can't stand when people refer to silicone blurring textures as "matte"- it's not lol. I don't know where that myth came from lol. I have the Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protector SPF 42 and it's SUPER mattifying (even more than the Cetaphil one) but it's not tinted. My favorite tinted sunscreen so far is the Exuviance Skin Caring BB Fluid SPF 50++++ but it doesn't dry down as matte as I would like. It's not too bad. It isn't greasy necessarily; I would say it has a healthy-skin satiny kind of look to it but I do wish it dried down a little more matte. If anyone has any recs for a mattifying (NOT silicone matte) tinted mineral sunscreen that dries down please let me know

Hi! I have the sunscreen and can share some thoughts. I found that there is a bit of a white cast on my light medium skin (it eventually fades to a more natural "brightened" look, but definitely not my exact skin tone). It will sit strangely on dry patches, and can somewhat settle into lines (but u can blend it out). When i apply the needed amount, its VERY shiny, and is still pretty shiny an hour after. But if you blot away the shine, then it is indeed a velvet finish, comfortable on the skin. I was hoping to use it as a daily sunscreen but since the application is a bit finicky and not the most elegant, I think I'll only use it for outdoorsy days

It looks fine to me. I don’t wear makeup but I do wear moisturizer. I love the reviewers look after the sunscreen. It’s not a cast at all. This is way better than other mineral spfs. Yes I can see a difference but literally nothing noticeable- and nothing as bad as wearing makeup because I hate that makeup look!

I have fair oily skin and can confirm it has a noticeable white cast on me! The finish was okay on me, it’s a slippy matte, very white at first and takes a good amount of rubbing in, but seemed to stay oily feeling and not set down in my most oily areas like my nose. I saw your Insta story and was curious what you would think of it!

@@jennifervh If you’re oily and on the light skin tone side and were planning on wearing foundation with it anyways then it’s not bad - I don’t wear foundation everyday so the white cast bothers me, but the texture is pretty nice. It never dried down completely on me but I find most sunscreens don’t. The only mineral sunscreen I’ve found that I really like is Paula’s Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30. It has a light tint and the texture is really lightweight and blurring! They have sales a lot and it’s usually around $25. Other than that one I usually use Japanese sunscreens (chemical) like the Biore UV watery essence or Hada labo UV clear! The overseas chemical filters don’t burn my eyes like the American ones do, and I haven’t noticed any breakouts or anything, they’re lightweight gels and more affordable. Hope that helps!

I have dry skin, so I always wear a moisturizer under my sunscreen. I actually found this sunscreen to not dry me out if I use a moisturizer, which honestly surprised me, because a lot of other mattifying sunscreens do

iam brown latino and l love this sunscreen its comfortable and waterproof , yes it has white cast but iam using this sunscreen for hiking , yard work , beach , GYM, long outside walks , not using it to look presentable and rather be safe and use it for heave duty , if iam worried about looking presentable i use ulta MD clear, cotz, drmtlgy, but with this is a active suncreen with thick white cast make me feel more insured with long expose to the sun

Truthfully speaking, the amount of white cast you get doesn’t mean you’re more protected necessarily, especially if you’re putting on the same amount of any SPF 50 sunscreen. Putting on the same amount of sunscreen of different sunscreens with the same rating is going to give you the same rating. As long as you’re reapplying, you’re going to get good protecting. The white cast doesn’t mean it’s lasting longer, the film is still breaking up gradually as the oil breaks it up or it rubs away

I’m scary to buy it 😢 because before I bout cerave oily skin cleanser and it have niacinamide and it causes me break out and a think niacinamide it’s not really friendly to people with oily acne prone skin and sensitive. But I don’t know if it’s good to buy this one that it’s a sunscreen

Guess I’ll have to skip this one. I’ve been switching between three sunscreens: the kids version of BGS, Kinship’s Self Reflect, and the Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid.

It is important that you know that chemical sunscreens contaminate the water even if we do not live near the beaches, even though some brands are formulating with less harmful filters, they are still contaminants, let's go for mineral sunscreens (no nano)
