EVERYONE thought it would be...Big 12 Champ; AAC Champ; B1G Champ; SEC Champ; and the remaining 8 At-large Teams being 1 Group of 5 Champ (Boise); then the remaining 7 At-large divided between the SEC and B1G. I believe the Group of 5 Champ had to be in the Top 16 to be included, which Boise was. Otherwise, there would only be P4 teams in the Playoff.

Is Will Howard going to play like that against Oregon? You obviously didn’t look at his stats from the first meeting this year, because he did in that game.
@omnimoeish5 күн бұрын
If John thought any part of Tennessee belonged in that game then we watched 2 different games. Tennessee's defense were so outmatched Ohio State could've won by 50 if they had kept their starters in. Howard was throwing for over 10 yards per pass attempt and completed 24 of 29 and that was in the frigid cold where the ball is hard as a rock. But here's what no one is talking, in a smaller playoff, even an 8 team playoff, Ohio State wasn't even top 2 in the Big 10, they wouldn't have gotten in to the playoff and now they're Colin's pick to win it all. Any other year Ohio State would've played Tennessee in the Cotton Bowl or something and that would've been the end of their season. We would've been sitting here wondering what would've happened if Ohio Sate had gotta chance to play for the title. Also I think the home playoff game is simultaneously cool for the playoffs and horrible. Some of these venues are just too cold to have a good game.

What they are saying is nonsense. It doesn't matter who plays in the first round, so I'm not upset with Indiana and SMU. What shouldn't happen is giving a team a pass based on their history -- such as Alabama. Just because some of the first round teams lost, doesn't mean they shouldn't have been in the game. It's one thing to have it like the four-team playoff. When it was expanded, the intent was to allow more teams to have a chance (SMU, Clemson, etc.)

I agree with Bill that OS is likely to win it all this year. Their intensity was superior. I think their loss to Michigan was so humiliating, that it galvanized the entire team to go out and show the world they are the best in college football. As a native Texan, I don’t think Texas has what it takes to win it this year, maybe once Manning has more experience and is their starter they have a better chance. Right now, it’s Oregon and Georgia the most likely to win it, but I’m expecting Ohio State to pull the upset.

let’s end right now the fiction that the games that are played in domed stadiums or stadiums in fair weather areas are at “neutral sites.”. They aren’t.
