Mabsoot is widely used in Hebrew slang along with a few more Arabic words.

Hi Daniel, Yes. The word is نَعْسان and is means, sleepy or drowsy. It would only mean tired from the standpoint of someone lacking sleep -- not from working hard or from exhaustion.

the first adjective is so ironical to Iraqis because it means =he has been beaten (someone has hit him) .happy in iraqi dialect means= farhaan or sa3eed .hope you liked this information.

in Tunisia we say "ana sa3eed" or "ana far7an" and mabsoot it is a kind of pita handmade at home !

Hi Maher, Although we do produce occasional videos on MSA, we prefer to focus on Spoken Arabic because there isn't much out there for that area. However, there are many KZbin videos and books teaching MSA. I would recommend students search for these videos. We may produce more MSA videos in the future, but just haven't got plans for that presently.

Our director arrived to Jordan at the age of 30 without any proficiency in Arabic -- not even the alphabet. He studied in many different programs but most of his progress came from his out-of-class study with tutors, while he worked on what would later become the book, The 101 Most Used Verbs in Spoken Arabic: Jordan & Palestine. Based on what he experienced and learned, he started the CGE Jordan Institute for Arabic Studies and developed resources that he feels will most help other foreigners really get the language. The results have been better than any of us expected.

Could you please advice me , I'm from Iraq my first language is Kurdish it's necessary for me to learn arbic language but i can not find good resource from Iraqi dialect does it is be useful for me if i learn leavantine dialect ?

Look at the link for the book, "The 101 Most Used Verbs in Spoken Arabic: Jordan & Palestine", under the video screen above. Choose "Jamalon" for delivery and get the book. Once you have that book, I recommend that you work through it with someone there who speaks Iraqi. You will find the differences as you work through it. I would also pay close attention to the differences in verb inflection, so that you can know how the Iraqi dialect is spoken for every verb. The Iraqi dialect is different, but there are more similarities than differences between Jordan and Iraq, so get the book and have fun with it.

we dont use تعبان when we want to describ fruits it's better to say خربانة الفواكة مش منيحة أو التفاحة خربانة

Yes, he did. Handwritten Arabic sometimes differs from the formal script you see in books and magazines. The س is written without the two dips in handwriting.

صعب وسهل are written with no kasra

Yes, you are right if this were fusha, but we are writing it according to the pronunciation in the Levantine dialect. Because spoken dialects of Arabic lack the اعراب , Arabs changed the sukuun out and put the kasra in its place. So, our tashkeel reflects that.

In that case you are accurate. I wouldn't write the kasra though because the kasra is too strong; it is not that stressed as a kasra in "Syrian", for example.

I have a question: in text messages and facebook messages how do people usually write feminine words? This way جامعة، حلوة، كبيرة or this way جامعه، حلوه، كبيرة when the words are isolated or at the end of a sentence. Thanks.

Of course, they will almost always use the ه instead of the ة . It doesn't make sense, in my opinion, but that is what Arabs have chosen to do.
