Ambrose Bierce authored "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" during the 1890's, set in the Civil War. A short film was made at the end of the black & white era. It's worth watching, as it has a relevant story line.

Ambrose Bierce's An Occurance on Owl Creek Bridge -- Was the original. A soldier is caught by opposing troops and set to be hanged on the bridge above Owl Creek. The rope drops. It breaks and the man is swept downstream battered by rocks and deadfall. He manages to hold on as the stream now a river carries him far away yet closer to a house, a barn, and a woman running across the grass calling his name with tear-filled joy. He climbs out and is about to hold his wife in his arms when darkness takes him. The rope drops, in one second life ends: his neck breaks.

Just a friendly reminder: Scandinavian vikings did not use Visby 13th cent plates lamellars. If Birka's lamellar is to be inside viking reenactment, it must be an asian/eastern european context. Yes, the music was great.. but, I didn't care for the weird looking skin! Even the face was strange. On top of it all, I wasn't sure what was going on. The guy climbs this huge mountain, so that he can jump in the icecube water, then stand's up, an he gets a harpoon through the chest. Then it switches up, an shows another man whom gets the same, (harpooned) except he is fighting in some kind of war or fight, an he dies also. Weird... Just weird. 🙃
