CGI Animated Short Film Bibo by Anton Chistiakov & Mikhail Dmitriev, Featured on www.cgmeetup.net/
It started as an idea about a lonely robot who sells ice cream. In order to survive in a severe reality he recreates an imaginary world where he lives every day, like he did during the best time of his life.
After several years of production and a one-year festival run we're ready to present our first animated short film to you! Giant thanks to everybody who participated in the project for a fantastic work!

If anyone wants to know what the story is There was a war that wiped out everyone, this lonely robot rebuilt part of the town where he used to sell ice cream. He made fake robot children to sell ice cream too to recreate his fond memories

This is the second animated short to remind me of a short story by Ray Bradbury called, "There Will Come Soft Rains", and just like that story, this is beautiful, moving and so bittersweet.

The file was excellent! My only concern, the young filmmakers today seem to concentrate on dystopian, fatalistic, futile... what have we done to the younger generations? Wanna make a film about it? Smile.

It seems this is where we are headed. Where I live there used to be trees. Bend was a small community. Look around you. Now it’s all pavement and asphalt, the trees have been cut down for multi use condensed housing units and apartments without yards. Traffic everywhere. Homelessness has increased. So yes, this is how they may see things. Many of them certainly aren’t going to have the chances the boomers did.

Dammit people!!! Didn't we learn anything From Terminator 2!!! This is why robots should have the ability to self-terminate. My only question was why did he build 3 kids? Shouldn't there have been 2 more pictures??? Did the 1st kid get lonely? Does his cart have to make 3 ice cream cones at a time? Did they eat the ice cream or just hand it back?

... wel a year later I’ll explain.. there was a war and the only thing left in the city was that little chunk of it. The robot is alone now after the tremendous loss in life and pretends to still have a normal life by going and “selling” ice cream to fake children. The little girl was running to get ice cream and shut down and now he is even more alone then before.

Then after that he brought her back to his construction area and renewed her energy, where she's shown sitting on the shelf @5:13 with her energy level glowing again. After that it shows him going back to his routine, so I was assuming that she would come back again "as planned" (and this might have been going on over and over again). It might not be, but that's what I picked up from it.
