Houdini. They use maya for the models and they use Houdini software to voxelize the characters and the glow. Sry for late comment

No, you wouldn't be able to because this took weeks of work, the computer has to process everything, like the dust, and they have a whole farm of computers to process this stuff.

Hololens won't be able to fit a full sized GPU, and even the a gtx 1080 would not be able to render this in real time, you probably never made a CGI video, but it takes time, because not only to track, but because there are parts that a human has to manually do, like figure out how the lighting would look, animate the characters, You could downgrade in quality, and do this, but you wouldn't get particles, and it wouldn't be realistic graphically

Dude, they aren't gonna make a more powerful GPU than NVIDIA, then cram it into a headset, most of the ads for that thing aren't actual usage and are prerendered. Watch this video, 4p0BDw4VHNo Replace the id in any video link, that has acutal footage, and yea it's pretty cool, but the graphics are a lot worse than pixels, yea it's a prototype, but it's not a going to get alot better

Why are the game characters so big

The reason there so big is bc theyre not actually the real game characters they are aliens that shapeshifted to look like videogame characters. The reason why therye attacking the city is bc in 1982 the humans sent a videotape of old classic games in a space capsule to communicate with the aliens. The aliens thought that the videogames in the tape was a decleration of war so the aliens are using videogame characters as theyre models to attack. Although that is how big the game characters would look in real life if you look at the game that theyre from.
