I usually dislike seeing these kind of live action with cartoon effects type of films but the breakdowns were lovely. I might think the end result looks a bit naff but the work behind it is incredible and to be fair the film's probably not aimed at my demographic.

I would love to see how the story of Astérix et Obélix would look with the same treatment Tintin got. Not sure if it would come out in a profit. but since Tintin managed to do it, I think this story could also do it.

It doesn't work as well because lots of the humour of the original came from the fact that it WAS a cartoon. and the puns...

...and a bad one at that. i mean its probably unfair to compare this to other movies with wayyy higher budgets, but this just looks bad, sorry. liked the first movie when i was a kid, but here it just looks like they are trying to hard.
