There could have been lots of endings, this one is what the creators of the film chose, and the point was still made! When you write your own story, you can choose your own ending. Start writing!

I awoke to see, a child before me young, curious, and unafraid you see. Memories of war, a fight to the death Again awoken, repaired and reset. The child, smiling, happy and free took me in and sights to see. Built for war, now for life hard work my purpose, no more strife. Alas the peace can never last the death it comes, haunting's from my past. We fight and brawl the child hurt "my friend" I must become the war machine again. I lung, he struggles, he shoots and miss I thought I could protect my friend through all of this. My friend is gone, I morn this end the promise I made I have not forgotten. With seconds left a face I have seen the promise I kept for as long as it's been. One final word at the very end "I have kept my promise, my...dear...friend"

Because robots are straight forward due to their programming and they learn from what they have experience through actions that it has observed, not allowing emotions to get in their way......having said that all things i believe have inherent karma in them.....in this storyline ...i believe it was able to experience it...whether it was alive or not ... To repay and reap it's own cause and effect ...and finally before it shut down permanently... It was able to tell the young lady that it's task was finally accomplished.

That brought a tear to my eye. Many have passed on unremembered for all the good they brought to the world. Their actions impacting our lives even to our present day but unnoticed. could be as simply as the planting of a tree, that one day grows into a forest. The placement of a rock that redirects a stream which will one day grow into a mighty river. An act of charity that encourages the receiver of such charity to do the same for another.

I am amazed about the ending! The ending had so much emotional effect because her work and the robots final stance and then we see not a dying(dead) earth, but a more...no a full new earth flourish with life! They’re work made all that life...This tells us that, even when somethings are not worth anymore doesn’t mean it should be given up on. An example of this one man who started planting trees in a dying forest which was being destroyed. He planted 10 trees a day. 25 years later..... His hard work and determination brought life back to the dying forest...I hope that who ever watches this video and reads this comment of mine, I hope that you look at things in bigger picture. That even if the deed is small... it still created a hude effect to those who saw and noticed. “One for all, all for one, no matter how small”

Data entry: August 26th, 2020; watched the saddest film ever saw during pandamic... will watch this next year as anniversary Data entry: August 26th, 2021. I watched and it’s still 👏🏼 awesome Data entry: September 18th, 2022. I was 22 days late. But still, it’s the greatest reminder that the one and only hope is available. Data entry: August 28th, 2023. I was 2 days late. But i experience the rise of AI, ChatGPT. Perhaps there will be robots next year. Perhaps there will be battle among the robots. Just like on the short film, “green light”. I don’t know about that. I hope it will not be the same. But know this, there have been a protest such as SAG-AFTRA strikes going against AI why? Cuz it’s cheaper than human labor. So they are making sure that it’s human safe and protected against Generative AI. (Funny it’s been three years since i started. Happy late anniversary) Data Entry: August 27th, 2024; one day late, this is the fourth Anniversary since first watched this film. It’s funny that last year, AI boom took over the world by surprise. There has been a controversy about AI is digging/scrapping off everything from the internet without the artist’s permission. Oh well. It’s happened. Now It’s too advanced enough to generate codes, Arts, photos, Musics, Videos, Articles, anything on internet. It’s seem we can’t tell the truth or lies from the internet. We could be easily manipulated with photos that been photoshopped. Enough about Generative A.I. it’s still in the box, a 24/7 box to produce fakery endlessly. It’s been for years. However I can tell you that it’s not advanced enough to do things better like mobility/movement like we humans interacts. Perhaps it’s us that we fear, so its slowly developing, and slowing adapting as but it’s not popular for self driving or self cooking or doing labor 24/7 non-stop. Let’s us witness how A.I takes us to the future. See you next year.

That even if the deed is small... it still created a huge effect to those who saw and noticed. “One for all, all for one, no matter how small”

Death is part of life. Without death as the final destination, what is the purpose for striving? Who are you making things better for if not for those who will be left behind when you are gone? People who do not realize or respect this tend to be selfish in thinking they have a 'better place" to go, so they can spoil what is here. Like the Red Light Robot, who thinks that the only goal is to destroy but not for the purpose of rebuilding. You must take things apart to build new things. Decomposition to get to the building blocks for new things. Even metal and stone must "die" to make the rust that make the mountains beautiful and the sand that line the beaches. Remember the man who asked to never die, who eventually regretted his wish come true.
