GIRLS ROOM RENOVATION! Building triple BUNK BEDS, BUILT INS, and ERIN'S DESIGN TIPS in a 12x12 ROOM!

How do you make a 12×12 room work for four little girls? Chad and I got to work dreaming up functional designs and creative space-saving ideas to make it work. From the beautiful built-ins, for various types of storage, to the triple bunk beds the girls are ecstatic about to a clever Murphy bed solution for our little Finley. We found many ways to make the space useful for our girls as they grow up together!
You'll see how we drew up our concept art, with a bit of help from the girls, and see various ways Chad used money-saving techniques to utilize and repurpose multiple pieces of wood to create some of the accents seen throughout the design. I'll also show you some of the design techniques I've found most useful when staging a room, including adding a vintage feel to the beautiful built-in shelves that Chad built!

Benefits are close friendship/relationship, sweet time together, accountability. Privacy really isn’t needed all the time, they can change in a bathroom or let the others know they are changing and to stay out, if they need a minute alone during the day they can go in and it doesn’t mean all kids are in there all the time. Our kiddos are rarely in their rooms, we spend most time as a family…

Exactly, because they were drawing on paper what they wanted in their bedroom and all that storage space should be about the children things, I know when I was a child I liked seeing my things in my room, and I loved it when my mom put a full length mirror in my bedroom so that I could see how I looked after I had gotten dressed up. I was 6 years old when she did that for me ❤❤❤

I love the decorations, but having been a mother that had multiple children in the same room. I made practical use of the storage and shelves. While letting them be a little self sufficient. Plants are great but never put them where they could get knocked over.

Yikes I would hate to be on the very top of the triple bunk bed, the heating/cooling register is right there. I agree, they will need a bigger house or an addition of a bedroom.

@@KateBee123 They can redirect the airflow with a small knob usually found on a register - I have to do that in my dining room, to keep the cold air from hitting my upper body, or I can simply close the register.
