Chad great video. Thanks for the tips especially the deep set hook one. It's awesome to learn a tip that will save some fish. I appreciate it and so do all the fish it will potentially save.

I will be the first to admit that prior to watching his vids and seeing this tip in a few of them, I either had to cut the hook or hurt a lot of fish. I just did not know how to safely remove the hook. Now, I have confidence that I can remove a deep hook and watch the fish swim off with plenty of fight left in him! Had one like this yesterday, and was the biggest fish of the day and was glad he lived to fight another day b/c of tips like this...

Thank you for the tip on removing hooks in the gullet. I feel bad, but I've killed a few fish doing more damage when trying to save them. I will definitely try you method and hopefully they can live to be caught another day. Much appreciated.

There is an angler in Brazil who fishes from an 11ft Barracuda kayak with nothing more than a tackle bag, a small cooler and 2 or 3 rods. He catches alot of huge fish in the Amazon river ....as a blue collar guy myself I can relate alot with the simplicity of that kind of kayak angling.

@kayakbassfishing I love that bright colored @columbia1938 hat. One question about it though: I've always heard that when that close to the water, you should be wearing camo or muted colors so the bass don't see you. Obviously, you wore that bright hat and still caught fish just fine. Is that whole thing a myth? (If it is, go ahead and send me one of those bright colored hats. LOL)
@ChadHooverFishing8 жыл бұрын
Coach Dad #16 nope, I believe in it. I wear very subdued colors when I'm truly "hunting" for big fish in shallow water.

@kayakbassfishing and @columbia1938 are my favorite words to type. I am a vet Chad and would love to have one of the grey hats with the flag. The past two years I have had several major medical problems that have kept me off the water. I have only been able to fish the past couple of months. The hat would complete my outdoor wardrobe. Pick me please. USA all the way.

We don't understand the power pole in a pond thing. could you not of just tied off to the fountain in the middle?
@ChadHooverFishing8 жыл бұрын
Fat Man in a Yak the power pole helps maintain pinpoint position, it also creates drag in the water to keep the wind from spinning my kayak even when I don't put it all the way down. There is a lot more to it for me than just tying off to something, it's also the convenience of tapping a button and dropping the pole quietly, then raising it and lowering it to let the wind "ease" me into a spot.
@fatmaninayak12647 жыл бұрын
jisterKIS I don't remember asking you and I do not need you telling me where it can be used.
