Congratulations Charlie, I look forward to your channel every week. I rekindled my interest in model railways just over a year ago after a break since 1985 when I was always working overseas. The world of model railways has completely changed and the rolling stock and equipment generally is far more reliable now. Using your channel articles as my inspiration, I have nearly finished the first phase of a DCC N Gauge German themed layout, track and rolling stock. There is as much pleasure building and wiring as there is in running the locos. I have followed you in taking the Digitrax control route after first experimenting with a basic Bachmann DCC controller, which while functional and simple didn't really do everything that I wanted. Keep up the good work

100 videos is quite a remarkable achievement. So much effort goes into producing a video and you do them with finesse. The bloopers just shows that your human but they sure do add a bit of humour. Your channel and content really is so varied with something to everyone. “Charlie your not in my wildest dreams” what a comment! I swear we do get our words wrong at the best of times! Your a top bloke Charlie and it’s your personality that we also like. The phone interruptions really are always perfectly timed. That plaque is really nice and I will admit that it’s amazing how generous people can be in this hobby and it shows how far reaching your content can go. Some great tips to grow the channel as well which I will be adopting. My channel is growing slowly but it’s not about numbers for me. My biggest issue is upload consistently but hey I’ll get there! Hi Charlie, congratulations on 100 videos... Your channel is definitely one to watch, I like your presentation style and the information you impart. I'm modelling N gauge and fortunately a lot of what you cover in my humble opinion translates to any gauge/scale. I particularly enjoy seeing your very relaxed presentation style and it helps me navigate the many vagaries of this enthralling hobby. I have no interest of being in competition with you via KZbin but was very interested in the information you provided related to a KZbin channel, so presume I was one of the 30%? Thank you for your content which helps me learn and prefect new skills and have the confidence to try new things in this hobby. It's especially gratifying (maybe not so much for you) to see the mistakes (bloopers?) and know that things can turn out OK in the end. Again congratulations.

I totally enjoy your KZbin videos. Since a child I have loved railroads and model railroading. I have owned several model trains but have never had the space, time or money to build a model railroad layout. I enjoy watching videos of other people's s layouts and any videos of "real" railroads. Hi Charlie. Not a modeller myself but am fascinated with railway modelling and all things railways and engineering. Yours is my favourite modelling channel by far, and as much as anything it's your personality and humour that make the difference. The delivery is first class and the content so educational. Many videos are just so dry, but yours have the human touch which make them all the more interesting and watchable. Since stumbling across and subscribing to the channel I'm now working my way through the back catalogue. With all the building, videoing and channel admin I only hope you find time to grab some fresh air and breathe now and again, but you mentioned wildlife photography so I guess that you do. Before then I kind of got stuck and didn't work on my layout for about 6 months but that video revitalised me! Amazing video 👍 happy 100th video 🎉 the KZbin tips were fantastic 😀 you said about adobe premiere, I personally use a video editing software called Davinci Resolve which has a very extensive amount of features , I think the most I've seen from a free editing software. I know a few people who have bought expensive equipment to start KZbin, only to make a couple of videos with no views and give up. As you said, you are definetly better off buying equpiment when you need it. Your face around "the new bullhead track" was priceless as you did the retakes..... I help on our local community radio and the number of times I have to do a voices insert at short notice, get half way through and the brain goes or my tongue trips over a word..... then it's take 3 or 4 and 2 minutes to go.... :-) In the nicest possible way, worth watching this one just for that!!! Your video comments could almost be used for training radio presenters!

Whilst I appreciate that you posted this video quite some time ago, I really enjoyed it, this afternoon - even the 'outtake-bloopers' - nice one Charlie - thank you, informative, interesting, and amusing too - all good elements of a good KZbin presentation - all 55 minutes worth.

A very interesting video. While I have no intention of creating a KZbin channel of my own, I much enjoyed the insights and, contrary to what you might expect, I stayed to the end. As for people whose main pastime is criticising others, I feel slightly sorry for them as they must have otherwise very empty lives. One final comment, Margaret's response was priceless.

Congratulations Charlie on reaching your 100th video! Enjoyed the bloopers and also how you set up and manage your channel on KZbin. I always look forward to your videos and always enjoy watching how your layout progresses. As I have mentioned previously, this is a hobby to be enjoyed by young and old alike. I'm sure there are many of us, including myself that have followed some of your tutorials and have managed to make modelling more interesting and fun. Keep up the good work and look forward to next Friday. All the best, Paul.

Hi Charlie, just a note to say I enjoyed the 100th edition, keep up the good work. You'll be pleased to know I watched it until the end - 54 minutes, that's at least another cent in your pocket from KZbin -:) Don't spend it all at once.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 100th video Charlie. I watched all the way through and was fascinated with all the KZbin shenanigans...... Congratulations on the centenary, pretty good going in a relatively short time. I'm gradually working my way through as much of the older ones as I can. I can honestly say that yours is my favourite model railway channel and I look forward to catching up with your latest videos each week. I think your mix of humour and leaving a few mistakes and so forth in make all the difference. Here's to the next 100. Cheers Charlie and all the best from down under 😎

Hi Charlie - thanks so much for this 100th video. Enjoyed the out takes but the KZbin section was really informative. You have a very easy manner in explaining things - whether it is how you build your model railway or building a channel on KZbin. My own channel is for me to see how my own model railway has hopefully improved. The fact I have nearly 800 poor souls who faithfully follow me is just an added bonus. I know my channel isn't the best but having a full time job really doesn't afford me the time to spend on editing and producing slick videos unfortunately. Thanks so much for the time you spend on doing these videos week in week out which give viewers, like me, so much pleasure. Cheers Euan

hi Charlie - no not 40 minutes ! - 54 minutes ! - I got to the very end - extremely informative about youtube - your presentation skills come from your photographic expertise I expect - great to see no shaky camera work - or music ! - (thats like buying a DVD of steam trains rushing through the countryside with some guy with a posh voice who pronounces 45212 like its a number ! and talking incessantly over the sound of the loco) - GREAT CHANNEL thanks !
