You have a knack for making these maintenance videos, and it's great to see a young lady with these skills. I'm an old timer (soon to be 65) that started riding off road at eight years old. A few comments, and these are NOT meant to criticize you in any way. First on your wrenches. The ones you were using are not "crescent" wrenches, but combination wrenches. Combination because they have two types of ends. One is an open end, and the other a box end. Box ends are better when you have really tight nuts or bolts to loosen, as the box end type doesn't tend to spread as really apply muscle. The open end type will flex more when you try to apply muscle, and it may even spread far enough to slip off causing cut or even broken knuckles. One other point I didn't hear mentioned in your video. Every motorcycle I've worked on when adjusting, or replacing chains, the swing arm will have marks on it, which are supposed to be used as guides so you get both sides adjusted equally. There will be marks on the swing arm, and then marks on the adjusting mechanism. You can count the marks to see if both sides are adjusted equally. However, it's not uncommon to have the marks be off when they made the components. So, some people will take a tape measure and measure from the center of the swing arm bolt and nut, to the center of the axle bolt and nut. Most of the time, I have just gone with the marks. Your system of just tightening the adjuster bolts equally is a pretty good system too. Love your videos!! Looks like you haven't made any in over a year. Will you do some more? With your mechanical aptitude, I bet you could tackle fixing a flat, or replacing the tires, and even checking and adjusting valves. I'm even thinking about buying one of these Taotao's for myself.

I'd like to add that most likely these are metric nuts and bolts but you're using standard wrenches. That axel is most likely a 19mm lock nut with a 17mm axel bolt.

dpdiver1 I know I’m late...metric for this adjustment is essential! Foreign products require metric tools

You didn't take in consideration your swing arm sag, That chain will be tighter when you take the bike off the stand and sit on it! Your chain is more loose when it's up on a stand because the angle of the swing arm.

Na man I don’t think it tightens as the wheel doesn’t move further away when you sit on the bike just changed the angle of the swing arm the sprockets are the Same distance tho it shouldn’t matter if there is a difference in how tight the chain is it’s mm

Note: Always spray from the interior side of the chain to avoid beeing splashed everywhere, also use the user manual to see what is the correct tighness...I looks too tight in the video can cause sprocket damage. tighness can be measured in the chain movement.

you do want the swing arm level to set the chain. that will be its tight spot. if u dont have enough slack/slop in the chain as is the chain will be way to tight when the bike has weight and or the suspension travels, cause damage. chain should have huge slop with no weight on it ,
