The second one alone. The first one with family.

Mom and pop shops all the way, every day, every time. Support your local small shops. They are often so personal, friendly, and humble. That sushi in the 2nd restaurant looked utterly delicious. 🤤🤤😘

I am not a fan of sushi but that second place, the family place, that sushi looked amazing.

hi guys. I have been living in Osaka for over 20 years. Glad you seem to have enjoyed your trip. I'm sure it's too late now, but if you come again or are in a situation where the soy sauce comes in those containers, instead of pouring it into a dish and struggling to dip, just pour a few drops directly onto the fish just before you eat it. Enjoy!

❤ Sushi!! Diggin this vid.

I know that when I take my kids and their spouses to Japan, they're going to want to try the conveyor belt place, for the experience. But I'd much rather go to the family-owned place!

I've never been, but the first one does look good for families.

Really surprised the mom and pop sushi shop was still a deal, I can see why Phil wants to return. Great job guys, thanks for taking us along.👍💕🙏🏻

I was in Japan in March and most everything was really inexpensive. It was a nice surprise.

Yes, I can't only imagine, never thought of Japan having deals like this. Also hoping they try some street food!

It will be fun to see you as you progress. You are pretty new to sushi I see but you will learn a lot and you will be pros soon enough.

Wow, both of them looked delicious. Those conveyor belts seem so much fun yet I like the smaller local restaurants. Thank you for sharing.

I was reading about the history of sushi, and apparently salmon used to be considered an inferior fish by the Japanese. Then in the 1950s, some Norwegian company begged Japan to buy their surplus salmon, there was a big marketing campaign to get Japanese people to change their tastes, and it worked.

1950ではなく 1980だと思います。

The reason why the Japanese eat grilled salmon but not raw is because it has parasites on it! By freezing it, the parasites die and become harmless, which is why Norwegian salmon is now used for sushi.

You didn't play the plate game at the sushi track place! You missed out! I would totally try both but that second one looked incredible and it was still way less expensive than in the US

we have conveyor-belt sushi places here but they'll never be as good as a place where the proprietor/chef/trained & experienced master is creating your nigiri/temaki/teppozushi. i am blown away by how affordable it was - really inexpensive! i am thoroughly enjoying you two enjoying japan 😊 looking forward to more!

Turn nigiri on its side and grab it by the rice and fish that’s how you dip it

I'd so go to the second one over the chain restaurant as it looks much more appealing. Also, a little trivia here, it is perfectly acceptable to use your hands when eating Sushi, in fact it is considered a finger food, with Sashimi however, you use chopsticks.
@LythaWausW4 ай бұрын
Thank you. But is it Ok to not eat the whole thing in one bite? I'm a tiny bite eater.
@FieraMyst4 ай бұрын
@@LythaWausW So long as you do not put the piece of Sushi back down on the plate once you have eaten a portion of it, it is indeed acceptable to eat it in more than one bite.

Tip to eating Sushi if the Chef doesn’t swipe it with soy.. flip the Sushi on its side so the fish doesn’t slide off

I`m veggie and i never had any sushi in my life but those places look nice, dude. 🤗 Why isn`t the food rolling around like that in every restaurant höhöhö?
@uzul424 ай бұрын
There is plenty of vegetarian sushi fillings/toppings. Avocado Kappa (cucumber) Nasu (eggplant) Shiitake (mushroom) Shinko (pickled gherkin) Kampyo (pickled gourd) Takuan (pickled radish) Tamagoyaki (sweet omelet, non-vegan) I usually have some of them with my fishy sushi to add variety and they are all great.

I add Wasabi to my bowl of soy sauce to soak the rice in a nigiri so it packs a punch and opens my nostrils. I put a few slices of pickled ginger on top to add a little neutralizer to the wasabi!oh so yummy. If it wasn't so expensive to get to Japan I would love the prices there. Double and triple in price here in NWFL, but worse in Biloxi casino Jia restaurant in Beau Rivage Resort

The Japanese government dumps huge amounts of radioactive waste into the sea every day in Fukushima. The Japanese government announced that it will release radioactive waste into the sea for the next 30 years. This is not just a matter of the level of pollution of parts of the ocean. The ocean flows all over the world. So It's safe to avoid seafood.
