I think chandler has actually auditioned for peter parker in the past so it’s so awesome to see him in this short film project. I agree with you, he definitely fit the look and energy of peter parker before all of the horror parts hit

Dude… I just finished watching it myself. I was looking through some stuff to watch on KZbin when I stumbled across from your short mentioning something about it. I was not aware of this fan film either and I decided to check it out before seeing your own reaction about it. From the start, I was intrigued. I can tell you with my own opinion that this is one of the best fan films I’ve seen so far. It’s kind of up there with the likes of Dylan’s New Nightmare as far as I’m concerned. This film was very well acted and very beautifully shot. Really love the cinematography and WTF visuals. The musical score was fantastic as well. This film gave me total The Fly and The Thing vibes. What makes it also both ironic and heartbreaking is that in most comics and other media, Ben Parker was always killed in a robbery gone wrong but here, he is killed by his own nephew. Along with Aunt May shortly afterwards. This… is the stuff we rarely ever see. Just… wow! Thank you for the suggestion, Chainsaw!!!!

Honestly Chandler Riggs seems like he'd be a pretty decent live action Spider-Man if they needed a new one

The actress that played Aunt May used to be a reactor on Elders React by the Fine Bros.

There was a horror film called “Earth verses the Spider” about someone wanting spider powers but becomes something like The Fly. As well as an alternate version of Peter called Patton Parnell, a creepy antisocial teen with an abusive uncle who turns into a 4 armed spider monster and places spider eggs in his crush after biting her while emerged from her face.

For a spider man horror movie I think it could work if they were able to do it in marvel zombies I’m sure they could make it work and spider creature at the end was a mix of practical and cgi effects

After watching it myself, I can't help but feel so bad for this universe's Peter. Patton Parnell, aka. Man-Spider, is a man with a similar story to "The Spider": When he got bit by the Spider, he didn't have genetic coding necessary for the DNA to bond with and he became a terrifying Spider monster, not unlike the Peter featured here. But I think this short film depicts the _absolute_ worst-case scenario, because Peter, unlike Patton, was a good man. He was raised to be a good boy by his uncle and aunt, and yet, when he got bitten by the Radioactive Spider, he didn't have the DNA to bond with its new company, and thus his body and mentality began to shut down and decay, with him being unable to do anything about it. Now, Peter roams the streets of a decrepit New York City freely as "The Spider", going on a killing spree for food until either A. a person who'd usually be a villain in any other normal canon stops him, or B. (most likely) Morlun puts "The Spider" out of his newfound misery during his Spider-Verse killing spree, not unlike what he did to Patton before him. Either way, Peter is doomed. And I don't think I've mentioned the worst part yet: "The Spider" knows that with great power comes great responsibility, and actively did everything in his power to keep his Uncle and Aunt from dying only to still fail and give into his newfound animality. What a cryin' shame.

Its the only way more obscure or dark stories get told. No way marvel or sony would have the balls to make a man spider horror film.
