David, I think it would help your sales if you asked more questions about the Customer....Finding his motivation behind why he wants it. Get to know the person. What kind of style clothes, what he does for work, what watches does he currently own? out of your watch collection which one do you like most? and why? all these questions your asking gives you a better understanding of WHO you are selling to not WHAT you are selling. now with all this information and repour (because you took the time to get to know him personally and his motives etc) your not even selling him anymore, you both are on a quest to find the watch that fits him best. most people don't need you to break down the specs.. google can do that. Hope this helps!

Alex's outfit is absolutely fine. Not sure where all the hate is coming from. Nothing wrong, actually probably preferred or obligatory for a young man to wear what he likes, finds stylish, and is comfortable in. And that is such what Alex did. And you all hate? He knows his office dress code and he knows his customers. He wears what is natural for him, and I would find it strange IF anyone out there would submit to dress down to what others, who watch KZbin in their parents' home, tell one to do. You kidding me? Alex is making money, having fun, living his youth experiencing and experimenting with the trends and styles of the current time so just leave him alone you hypocrites lol.

Not sure I agree the playing field was "levelled". Confidence comes from preparation. The guys had 10 minutes of prep on the watches vs a good half day at least. They're only real choice was to say "I don't know" to 9 out of 10 questions thrown at them and look unqualified, or try to redirect by volunteering info they weren't asked. Even with a fever, being able to present a watch he knows is a huge advantage.

David talks too much and sounds like he’s trying to convince himself someone should buy the watch. Not clear concise and a true salesman. Says “uh” too much and pauses very often. He also argues with the customer too much because he thinks he’s right.

My guy don’t let the customer stop talking before he starts speaking again like he is soooo nervous.

I thought the challenge was bull. Peter sick but still had time to prep and didn't have to come in to the office face to face.

I don’t know watches AT ALL (just enjoy the show) so take it easy on me with this question but why do I always hear there are no Rolex’s available? I see a bunch down at the stores. I’m sure there’s a difference, what is it?

sell me this watch. lol. Simple, make it personal to them. Tie to an emotion. Tie it to a memory. What is your milestone/commemoration? What do you want to celebrate? Daughters quinceanera/sweet sixteen? Graduation? First paycheck? First date? First child? First score? Reborn? Absolution? Sobriety? Rebirth? First million? First billion? SURVIVING A BATTLE? OR if they are a watch enthusiast you talk about the movement, the brand, the significance of the watch in the evolution of watches.

Journe produces between 600 and 700 pieces per year. Where is that 200 figure coming from? That’s not even counting the Elegante line, which is probably another 500-600 pieces. Still not so many but lets not manipulate data to make it look like its rarer than it is.
