The sound of the waves was great to hear. Limited pallet is key hey, knowing how to blend your colors as well. Perfect!

Mark’s palette garage (where he lays out his paint) is worth mentioning-it’s been a game changer for me. It keeps my paint from drying out. The little bit of clove oil does the trick. What a great moment of nature at the end. I enjoy your videos almost as much as CBS Sunday Morning.

Thanks Liz! Yes, I filmed his palette garage, but the clips didn't work out. I'll reshoot next time we paint.

Really incredible paintings, both of them. Seemed like you guys created a different vibe painting together. This one just has a tiny bit more going on than the last few. Exciting work. ✌️

Great to see both of you working without proper sunlight which is very difficult because everything turns to grey. Mark's style is definitely RAW, I like it.

Grey days are definitely challenging. It's actually very comfortable though, if the wind isn't blowing. Much easier to judge colors. Sunny days can be blinding and exhausting.

Don’t do anything else to that one. This was one of those where your painting came out way better than the actual subject! Mark’s too! I’d like to see you do the same site with some of the red ground cover showing...they were so lovely against the grays and blues of the sky and water.

Nice. I've recently switched over to oil and still figuring the medium out. I never see you mix the medium into the paint. Do you do that? Or do you dip your brush in the oil first and then in the paint. I do both but was just curious how others do it and if there is a "right" way.
@chamberlainpaintings4 жыл бұрын
I first mix the color on the palette without the medium. Then I dip the brush in the medium cup and mix it with the paint before applying it to the panel. The medium loosens up the paint and makes it easier to work with. Hope that helps!
