*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*

I would recommend getting factory size line. To big is always better as if it's too small sometimes the fuel can't keep up with the machine hope this help please subscribe

Dude, thanks! I’m having issues with mine. You described my problem. I took it to a lawnmower/small engine shop and they said it needed a complete overhaul! $385! That’s about what I paid for it brand new. I’m gonna pick up some cleaner and do it myself! You’ve given me the confidence to do it. The good Lord will guide my hands as I try to be a good steward of His blessings. Thanks!

Thank you so much. Your information and the way you present it is so appreciated. You were more helpful then any other video on KZbin on this topic. Thank you again for helping me to feel more confident on doing this myself.

Be careful testing for spark with fuel tossing out. Great way to start a fire.

A little suggestion to tell your customers.....When they are done with generator, before they store it, shut off the fuel valve and run the gas out of the carburetor.....Keeps what you had to do from happening.

I learned a couple of things I didn't know. I'm glad you said to start all the screws before you tighten them. My friend always tightens every screw as he inserts it. He's always bewildered when he can't get the last two oil pan bolts in after he had tightened down the first ten. :) Thanks for the video, Liked and Subscribed.

Hey on the set screw that holds in the long jets in the center of the carb the one you took out with a screwdriver, is there a hole in the middle of that set screw that needs to be cleaned out as well ? or is mine clogged

Do I need to clean the carb if I only use propane and if I use propane does the jet pin need to be cleaned too
@robertsamarati8235 Жыл бұрын
I drained the gas out of mine and cleaned the air filter. Topped off my oil and cleaned up the spark plug by burning with my propane torch. It started right up after. Everyone should also use premium gas. I have the Champion 5500 and it got me through hurricane Sandy for 10 days.

With fuel sitting in the combustion chamber (on top of piston) will likely require a oil change because the fuel will leak past the rings into the oil. At the very least check the oil and check for gas contamination.
@user-hk8uu2qm9t Жыл бұрын
Premium gas only has higher octane so it burns slower. Its no better the regular grade.
@kevinarnold21311 ай бұрын
In Michigan premium has no ethanol the lower grades have it

Absolutely great tutorial. However in June of 2024 that entire carburetor with new seals is $30 Canadian. That means it's probably $25 US. While I appreciate the lesson, that is a throwaway carburetor
@robertsamarati8235 Жыл бұрын
Before I store the unit I burn off what's left in the gas tank. Then I turn the gas to the off position and start it up again to burn off whatever is left behind. in the line.

How many "ums" or "ohs" can you get into a video. Do you know how irritating that is?

You really need to stop saying“UM” after every few words. It is so distracting.
