Today we will learn how to do Chandra Namaskar or the Moon Salutation!
So just like Surya Namaskar is associated with energising the mind and body, Chandra Namaskar, its cousin, has a soothing and calming effect.It can be practised anytime of the day. Since it is very grounding and calming practice, it is perfect at the end of a long working day.

Hi Bharti. I remember the first time I saw you, it was thanks to Chandra Namaskar, I was fascinated by the set but I couldn't do it because I had my body quite neglected. I tried your videos for complete beginners and gradually merged into beautiful asanas. I came back yesterday and tried ChandraNamaskar again. The beautiful and magical line-up as a reward for my efforts was incredible. I look forward to a common Yoga journey. Namaste

I've been doing this every day for the past week and a half and I really love it so much! Hi Sri Ranjini, Chandra Namaskar should preferably be done in the evening on an empty stomach.

Hi Soniya, you can do moon salutation 3-5times. Don’t worry, once you practice a few times you will get there :)

Hi, I would advise, do the Surya namaskar first, finish your asana practice (at least the backbends) and then do this. Forward folds and restorative asanas like Shavasana can be done in the end.

Hi there! I would recommend start with 2-3 rounds of Chandra Namaskar and take it up to about 5. Since it is a cooling practice, you don’t need to do many rounds :)

Can you please tell when should one practice this namaskar, as in I finish my dinner my 7.30 so should I do it after my dinner?

Hi Deepshika, like all other asanas, Chandra namaskar should also be practised on an empty stomach or at least 4 hours after eating. Hence I would recommend you do it before your dinner.

When you teach, it would be lovely if you would mirror us - so that when we step with the left foot, you step with the right, so that its a mirror reflection. Some. People are auditory, others visual... It's confusing when you step with your left foot, but it mirrors our right foot. Hari OM

Hi Anjali, chandra namaskar is supposed to be a cooling practice. So you should restrict the repetitions to 5 sets. You can do it at the end of your practice when you are preparing to cool down.

The video would be more clear if u had put the text on the up instead of down, b'coz ur complete body movement is not clearly visible & very beginners may not understand. Otherwise its really good.
