I miss the colorways from 10 years ago.... I love the wearable color and I remember all the coral and lilac around that time. I feel like so many current releases are one dimensional.

Such an interesting video. Thank you. I clearly remember the muted lipstick tones. Could you edit a similar video on Dior. In my thirties I used to be a huge Dior consumer. I would buy at least one product of each of the seasonal issues. Thank you ❤

Allison! This was an outstanding post! I can see you put a lot of work in research for this video! As a Chanel employee for MANY MANY years …you have brought back memories of these fabulous launches. I remember introducing the Les Beige Collection in events , and it was so exciting! Do you remember the sun collection in the black packaging? It was awesome and the products had such a great scent as well. My favorite accessory with the sun products was the large black Chanel bucket tote bag with the white roping….I still take it with me on my vacations. I can’t begin to tell you how many people stop me and ask where I got it…we’re talking many years🤣 Also, remember the rope design on the Les Beige bronzing powders? So pretty! Thanks for taking me down memory lane! You always present such beautiful videos❤

Wonderful walk down memory lane. Cruise 2009 in St. Tropez is especially memorable for me. Did they still have the Aqualumiere lipstick formula by then? Rouge Hydrabase? So many reformulations! Orange Fizz was a another must-have polish. Now I want to find some back issues of Allure magazine and reminisce. 🧡

I have that Les Beige 2013 powder… I got it in a slightly deeper shade for me and still have it. I also have some of their blush sticks. They were so great. Oh, and the duo compact, so good.

I wish Chanel would do a larger les beiges summer campaign. So disappointed this year. I believe the summer bronze look is what most women enjoy purchasing and wearing the most. I loved those multi color powders with different shades of tan. Maybe Chanel can do a les beiges powder blush with several color stripes, hint hint!

In the 2009 collection that you showed first-that lip color is GORGEOUS!! Do you know if Chanel still has that color, or something really similar? omg so many memories !! the use of « soleil tan de chanel » as a name dates back ages ! i believe that the cream bronzer that has been released in travel size this year originated way back to the late 90s to early 2000s. i have been trying to find out as well because i believe it was released together with a shimmery fluid version that could be used as a base or mixed into foundation. this was an incredible golden bronze violet duo-chrome shifty shimmery fluid in a round bottle. i loved it. i have the stripey powder bronzer in 907 sable beige which also fell under the soleil tan de chanel range. actually, come to think of it, it would appear that they simply converted « soleil tan de chanel » into « les beiges » & created an expanded more cohesive lineup of products. it is a more general term that allows a greater range of items whereas STDC is a pretty limiting category name : i would never imagine foundations or concealers to feature, for example. i loved that stripey powder bronzer that i still have !!! it was my absolute go to for years but mine has 7 skinny stripes. i had the blush stick as well in 23 i think or 22. the original les beiges fluid foundation was also a favourite repurchased item - it was launched with the perfume Beige from the exclusifs line. as for the powders in the beige compacts, they always seem to be around. i have one of those twist up glossy lippies too, as well as an illusion d’ombre in illusoire. such a great retrospective, thank you for the memories allison ! 💗

They all are because that primer is meant to diminish the appearance of pores and redness. The foundation you chose to pair with it will offer different coverage or finish.
