I would like to add, you should change your crush washers when reinstalling your oil drain bolts for a tighter seal and you should put oil in your oil filter. Yes SOME will spill out but it's better to have some oil in it when you restart your bike. BTW, love the sound of your bike 👍
@weron0215 ай бұрын
You are absolutley correct, crush washer is a must and puring oil in the oil filter. Thank you.

Thanx for the video and really sweet rideas I had a chance years ago to get a roadster. At the time I had a 950 vstar which was a really good bike and I was at a bike dealer and he had a handful of Yamahas sitting there a 2012 roadster and when the dealer was doing the paperwork as I was trading the 950 in he said I thought you would have gone with the roadster but really liked the Stryker that was there. And after several years I went with a raider that I still have and love today. Take it easy.

You had the bike jacked up and drained the engine and the oil tank and removed the filer, everything was draining. Why did you drop the bike down and then jack it back up to put the plugs back in ??? I may have missed something was there a reason for that ? does that help in draining ? just asking I recently got the same bike and want to make sure I do it correctly.

Dropped the bike to take as much oil as possible, since one of the oil drain bolts are on the side, and yes it helps to drain.

@@weron021 .... I had the same issue crop up recently on my 2005 Roadstar Midnight Silverado ... the kickstand sensor switch was sticking, and as I rode along the sticky sensor switch would suddenly "engage" and cause the engine to cut out / stop. No warning. You'd be riding along and suddenly .... no engine. The cheap and simple solution, was to have my LBS mechanic "bypass" the kickstand sensor switch. End of kickstand electrical problem !

Have you had any problems with your clutch slipping cause of the oil you use. I have the same bike with 30,000 miles last oil change the clutch slips on hard acceleration. The dealer told me that was normal. R bikes clutch and primary use the same oil from the engine tank. I found that the factory oil yamalube is incorrect. A wet clutch should use oil with NO friction modifiers .Read the yamalube its states it has friction modifiers. I changed my oil to lucus or amsoil and my clutch slipping stop. The factory and dealer tells us to use the wrong oil so we spend $ on a clutch we dont really need. Also had oil leaking from the breather after oil changes. The manaul states add 4.2 qts of oil. If you do .check the stick level and line it up with the breather on the left under the side cover. You'll see the level is higher then the breaker. The dealer also told me this is normal. I say bullshit.
