Anyone else appreciate Forbidden West even more after playing this remaster? The differences in movement and combat make the first game somewhat dull for me. The remaster looks great but forbidden west is so much better, and I hope the next game makes even more improvements.

Actually ‘Balanced’ isn’t dependent on VRR but instead if your display supports 120hz refresh rate, much like Insomniacs implementation of ‘Balanced’ which runs the game at 40 fps. 👍🏻

This is a pretty formulaic setting that I always describe as such in these videos, so not sure what happened this time; it's even down in my script as 'if you're display supports VRR & 120HZ output'. 😂 I should've noticed I mispoke and added a caption though, oops! @@bmanrobinson4532 If it runs at 40HZ on a 60HZ display, screen tearing and other issues will be much more apparent. This isn't an issue on 120HZ as 40 is directly divisible into it, and VRR also smooths it out.

Playing the game for the first time on my Samsung S95C, but must say, for me the Balanced mode is not smooth enough, so I prefer 60fps. Will wait next week for the Ps5 Pro to see what it brings, before I really start playing this game. But game looks good!. Thanks you for the video and great settings guide. Motion Aiming, nice. Gonna get the DLC just for that. Literally the only feature I miss from ZD on PC and Ps4. I dunno if its compatible with DS4 though, I need to check. I wish they added a demo to check on these features just to be sure.

If you are playing on PC and connect a DS4, it should work well as the Dualshock 4 also has a gyro. 😊 However, if you try to use a DS4 for it on PS5, it won't work as native PS5 games have to be played with a Dualsense controller. Thanks for watching. :)

I’m glad the game got Gyro aiming but I wished they would have improved the settings. The sensitivity slider really would benefit with actual numbers that tell the sensitivity + Steadying option would be nice too. GoW ragnarok is a great example of simple but great settings for gyro.

Great video and some awesome hints, but you should have broken it down into two sections one for immersion and one for efficiency. Because there's a little dissonance when you are talking about things making for a more immersive experience while also telling us to disable animations to make the game more efficient.

I can recommend getting used to gyro aiming. It’s so much better. Too bad not enough games allow it. Space Marines 2 and Cyberpunk would be so much better with it

I started off playing on balanced but it would black screen going into cut scenes so i swaped to to performance and haven't had that issue. My monitor isnt vrr but it is 120hz.

I just happen to cross this because I stupidly was like man the save file isn't working. I even hopped on my PS4 and then jumped all the files over to the cloud even though it was already there... You want to jump with circle!? That feels rare these days! Anyway, I'm not 100% sure without looking if there's a way to swap those in-game on the controls layout menu (there might be), but if not, you can swap them in your PS5 system settings via the accessibility options where you can set custom button assignments. If you swap them there, you can then just enable it whenever you play Zero Dawn :) Thanks for watching! :D

Lets see if I can play without VR headset. How well the aim assist works. New World did something groundbreaking. It lets you map 2 modifiers and than add it to every action. Thats the genre leading function of xbox elite 2 baked into the game twice. Astonishing.

So how does this app backlog the game? Inmean there are tons of apps, but they all need tou to manually inoit achievements. Your telling me this app can get the data from your osn account?!? Sounds kinda hackish

Haha I get the concern but there's no need to worry about that; all you give the app is your username and it then imports all your games from your accounts, sorting them automatically. You just need to make sure that anyone can view your games & that your privacy settings don't block it which the app walks you through for each account. They once linked, it looks at your achievements and time played for each game, importing everything and intelligently sorting each game to your collection. For then adding other games to your collection, it's as simple as holding a game cover, then using the quick menu that pops up so is only 2 clicks. The app exists as a game equivalent of Letterboxd. The idea is that it helps you spend your gaming time more efficiently too, with features such as being able to sort your backlog by how long to beat so you can see at a glance which games are shortest, and can see exact times each will take. There's much more to it too, with custom lists, comments on reviews & lists, the ability to store all of your virtual photography there & more. I was fed up of not having an app that could do all of this, whilst also letting you easily get started by importing your data rather than doing it all manually, and so I made it myself. I'd love to get your thoughts once you've used it. 😊

@RomboutVersluijs Hmm that sounds strange! It should fetch about 95% of your games successfully. Playtimes are based on whatever the linked account has them as, so if they are wrong, then that's on steam/playstation etc for tracking that wrong. If you want to email [e-mail] with the accounts you are linking and their usernames, I can look into this further as it might be an account specific issue. I should mention any games you have manually hidden from your profile won't port over.

It's Setting 1, 8 & 9; they all come together to produce a better overall visual experience with greater fidelity & fluidity than the game is setup for by default. So whilst it isn't a single toggle as the thumb shows & is instead made up from 3 settings, it's easier to show them bundled into 1 setting on the thumb than just showing everything there. Hope that makes sense! :D

If you're using the PS5 Performance mode on a VRR & 120HZ compatible display, I've found it does have quite a few points where it's stable around 75fps (thanks to the 120hz and vrr allowing it to be unlocked), but I haven't seen it go anywhere near as high as 120. Tbh, I had no idea Forbidden West was able to run at a stable 90 like you've said so that's awesome! Thanks for watching :)

Because there actually kind of is! It's setting 1, 8 & 9 all rolled into 1. Together, they improve the overall visual experience of the game and also help to enhance both fidelity and fluidity. Showing all of the settings in the thumbnail sort of kills the video though, so I usually bundle a few of them into a single setting on the thumb to visually represent them, but without clickbaiting as the video still delivers on that promise of enhancing visuals. I hope that makes sense! :D
