I am 57 and have been divorced for a little over a year after a 36 year marriage. He cheated, and not only did we divorce, he walked away from his children and grand child. We live in a small town that he still lives in with her. I want to reinvent myself so that I won't be know as just his ex. I am trying to believe that there is a future for me. Watching you has given me hope, I've told you this before. Thank you for being there for me

I feel stuck and I am mourning the family I have never had and probably won't have. I am trying to learn how to navigate through this, finally do what I love and find some peace. Every time I watch you, I feel inspired and I learn something new. Thank you for this!

Hi Cheryl, I am 44 and just met the love of my life in 2020. I can’t have children (ok, it’s very unlikely) and have been going through major mourning, anger, etc. I’m coming out the other side though and am finding meaning in my life. I so RARELY meet women my age that don’t have kids it made me feel less alone to read your comment. Anyway, you are not alone!

I was so interested in hearing you speak about having a photographer or not. So many of the successful say 30 year olds have what to me are OVER stylised videos and photographs now. I can actually see how they copy one another and end up producing vogue type content. I can buy a Vogue magazine if I want that. The humanity and impulse has left their content and I feel them to be exuding an unreal feeling in their content. So Lisa, you still dish up originality, warmth, empathy and humour in your content and we love you for it. Your happiness and feeling of success shines through and that uplifts us. Thank you so much.

Lisa, although I am a male in my late 20's- I have been watching your videos since I was in my early 20's and I have seen such an amazing change in you in these last few months and it really has been a wake up call for me listening to your messages as of late. What stuck out to me this video was 1. No excuses bc I realize it doesn't serve me or the other people I'm giving lip to 2. Stepping back and honestly acknowledging bitterness under a new veil of change, not to forget about it, but to address it and set it down gently. 3. Getting up and doing something about something!, and not taking everything so personally. So thank you for this, I didn't know I needed this, but something told me to click on this video and I'm glad I did. Keep up the amazing work!

You are as real as they come and it is why I click on your videos. I am 65 and I completely understand everything that comes out of your mouth. You don't need to change ANYTHING. Not ONE thing and I think everyone on here feels that way about you too. THANK you for being YOU!!!

It is so funny how we want things and then we think at 25 we are so old and will never meet a man to marry or never get a career we love or whatever it is!!! I didn’t get married until I was 35, had two babies by the time I was 40 and have the BEST CAREER IN THE WORLD with the love of my life and the most precious boys I could have ever dreamed of. Ill be 60 this year and been married 37 years, my husband had a friend with benefits 2012-2017, I found out April 2020, I’m struggling with the 10 years of lies, I cry every single day, my husband has showed so much remorse but it’s like it doesn’t matter to me anymore, I’m miserable to him, but he takes all the punches, I hate living like this, I feel like he’s ruined everything, my children don’t know what their father has done, and I don’t think I will tell them, your video has opened my eyes Lisa! You have no idea how much, we live in such a small town and are still in a lock down, nothing is open, can’t see my friends, staying home day and night in my bedroom watching KZbin or tv, this is not a life I want, I hate this, I need to pull my boots out and start doing something, but I’m very depressed, thank you for your video

I’m turning 30 this year and you are the ONLY makeup youtuber I watch now! I was around since 2009 when it started, and I don’t watch anyone younger anymore. You’re relatable, you’re humble, you’re RAW! and that’s the type of videos and people I’d prefer to get recommendations from and I like to watch. There are pros to getting to work with brands, but there’s also cons... you kind of have to sell your soul in a way. It’s a blessing you can just be you and try out things that YOU like... there’s a reason why we are on your channel and why we are all still here :)

Annnnd, our Lisa is BACK! Today we were treated to one of your lovely, smart, inspiring stories that we love! Because the Friday story about a 'wait list' for an over $10,000 HANDBAG was not relatable after the last year and a half the world has gone thru (and continues to go thru) with Covid and REAL HOSPITAL waitlists, unemployment, families shattered and tremendous loss. Luxury items? Not a priority when my post heart attack scan keeps getting pushed further away. Today's story was very uplifting!

Hello Lisa.I'm a 52 year old Virgo, and I can see myself in you. I'm very analytical and I'll tell you honestly what I think. Unfortunately, because of this, a lot of people think I'm pompous, smart-ass. I love helping people, but life has taught me that not everyone likes it, and that's okay. I've been divorced twice. if something doesn't go, you don't have to force it. I believe there is nothing more valuable than your life, your health and children.it's very important that you develop yourself forever and stay young in soul and mind.age is just a number.❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful video, as always. I turned 60 in Dec. I really thought getting older would be so scary....boy was I ever wrong. My 4 children are grown and doing well. My marriage of 40 years is wonderful and my hubby is doing well and is healthy. I finally feel like I have time for myself. I can buy the high end cosmetics, I can buy that cool car, traveling has become a thing we can do last minute and not be dragging toys, cribs, strollers etc. Yes, I enjoyed every minute of my children being young, because we home-schooled, we spent a lot of time with our children. But now its time for me and my hubby...its liberating and so wonderful . For the young women reading this, I assure you that there are many seasons in life. Make the most out of each one you are blessed to get.

To this day, I can cringe remembering things he said to me about my cooking. The videos you make like this are my absolute favorite - thank you for sharing your experiences and perspectives!!! I can't tell you how many times I've watched your divorce video - I'm in the middle of reinventing myself and watching this just reignited that fire to get up and take life by the horns and become who I want to be. Thank you, Lisa 💕

Lisa, I totally agree with needing to reinvent ourselves at times. I gave up a career for 10 years to be my husband’s carer as sadly he is very disabled with ms. This impacted finances and self esteem and gradually i was giving up trying to be me. I then decided I needed respite and at the age of 56, in 2018, went on a solo holiday for the first time. It was the best thing I ever did and I have found a way to build on this ever since. No longer do I think my life is empty apart from my support of my husband, and I can look at the future with something other than dread. You are doing a fabulous job of encouraging others to reflect on the possibilities and I wish I’d found you long before I did xxx

Wow thank you so much Lisa. I found your channel during lockdown last year and you have become like a (beautiful) wise older sister to me. I’m 45 now and after many, many years of trying to start a family I was finally blessed in my early 40’s with a beautiful little girl, now 3 and a half yrs old. She is my dream come true but I’m finding it hard to find ‘myself’ again. I’ve gained a lot of weight, suffered post natal depression, lost friends...list goes on. But this video has made me feel that I cant keep making excuses. I need to start thinking what I need to do for MYSELF. How do I rediscover who I am now. Sounds silly to feel like that at 45 I know 🤦♀️ It’s scary. I’m not sure where to start but at least now I know I WANT to start. Thanks again for your open, honest heart 💖 x

Girl you are Gorgeous ! If you didn’t tell your age I would think you were in your early 30’s! I love that you’re down to earth and talk about real life issues. Don’t let the haters get to you. And some of Us need the direct honesty and no the BS approach😄 it helps to hear it.

I am 42, have a beautiful 20 year marriage, 3 beautiful kids. I hate my job and don’t know what to do about it. I have a paralegal degree and never used it. I just feel so stuck and hopeless. I love watching you on the KZbin because of your age, you are beautiful and the big sister I need and don’t have. I need my job to be a career and make me happy.
