could you put a link for the exact same break pads and rotors you bought?

Super helpful. Thank you. The auto shop said that I was incapable of doing it on my own, but after watching this it looks really easy.

Of course, he said you couldn't do it. He wanted to make money off of you. I'd stay away from that auto shop.

Didn't touch on bleeding the brake lines, which I know isn't the main reason people come looking here (I know most of you got basic knowledge and are just looking for bolt points etc), but people doing it for their first time won't know about it, especially if watching it without sound. Might make a graphic just to be safe

You won't need to bleed your brakes if you are just changing the rotors and pads. If for some reason you need to replace the caliper or suspect that you have air in your system (spongy brake pedal), then yes, you will need to bleed them. But for most routine brake jobs, mechanics will just open your reservoir cap when you push the piston back in. Some people will open the bleeders to push any debris that may have settled out, then they will top up and bleed the system. There is nothing wrong with doing this, but most people don't do it. I'd be surprised if you see any debris come out on a newer car though.

Are "bleeding" the brakes necessary
@CoolStuffGuysLike Жыл бұрын
If your brakes are spongy you should bleed them, but normally you should not be letting any air into the system just by changing the pads or rotors.

I've done all that and the rotor still won't slide off 😭

Hello, is it possible i have put the front brake calipers on the wrong side on my 2008 chevy impala? Lol i put new calipers on and realised the bleeding screw/nipple is on the bottom of the caliper and it should be located at the top correct? Been having trouble bleeding my brakes an im thinking thats what i done. Is it possible to have done this with this car? Will they even fit on the wrong sides? Any help would be great. Thank u

why did you remove them?
@codystokes76982 жыл бұрын
@@jbbadvet i replaced them as the pistons were stuck inside the caliper. I turned out they were on the wrong side lol problem solved
