Replacing the leather gaiter on Handbrake and gearbox on Astra G MK4 automatic

Hey, just wanted to let you know that there is a bolt and four clips under the knob. you can gently wiggle the wire to get the sport button out and then pull the entire top of the knob off then you dont have to rip the gaiter trying to take it off (or putting it back on) 😊

Awesome clip but I took my shifter off because 20 other sites said i had to. I thought id snap it off if i bent it off like youve Anyways I got the t knob off. 2 really small cables blue & white that go to the s switch while somehow weaving it all in neatly into the linkage bar at once. Ill let you know how i go when its done, but I do wish I'd seen your video first.

Just did mine but they didn't give me one that goes over the shift knob. Absolute POS to fit taking the knob off. There's also not enough wire length on the sport button to take knob off. So make sure you buy one like in this video. Taking or having to take the shift knob off is a knob off job 😁😁
