Hi. In Mexico, people love humor and insinuations ( doble sentido , burla -- in Spanish ) , but generally they do not speak / understand English and the ones do , on the average, their English is limited; much less to pick up on a comedian's punch line. Even harder , mostly they lack middle-eastern culture awareness -- a MUST background to relate to any comedian -- except the stereo-types portrayed in the news medias.

That’s what comedians do. They have a set of routines and they already need to write quite a bit of material.

Stand-up comedian has a repertoire. Bands play songs a comedian makes jokes. Before the internet, you went and saw a comedian or saw a comedy special on DVD. Nowadays there is YT etc so everyone hears the jokes over and over and over. Bad business for comedians.

Duh. Every standup comedian repeats their acts until they tell them in a special upon which they retire the joke. Notice that Maz does not tell this joke anymore. It's been retired.
