It's a shame to see psychedelic culture become associated with right-wing conspiracy groups and general woo. I guess breaking down cultural and social barriers seems to make some people susceptible to cult-like behavior, leading to them losing the critical thinking and open-mindedness they had which they may have found from psychedelics in the first place. Very much harkens back to Stan Grof's idea of psychedelics as non-specific amplifiers of the contents of the mind, which can be for good or for bad depending on the environment and the methods of integrating the experience etc. Fortunately, from my experience from people I meet IRL, most psychedelic users have very progressive and or anti-capitalist views and are pro-science and rational.

I have been ruminating on this very question for as long as I can remember. Your take is a good one. Very good and entirely plausible. Conspiracy brain, unfortunately , occurs even at the highest levels of human achievement, so mediocrity is not a requirement. I work on the idea that the hyper individualism you reference is a natural outcome of eschewing any form of 'social democracy'. Social Democracy gives a society a common narrative to agree on and bind its members together. Australians like myself can testify to this. For Americans, The Constitution may ostensibly serve as a common narrative but it fails in that role as it is always under bitter contestation and it seems that nobody has even read the god damn thing.
@blauewaffel14692 ай бұрын
@@PawesomeCatVideo the mediocrity factor is more about how far from the reality of their lives people are willing to drift to feel significant and a part of the story of their society. In a dog-eat-dog, alienating culture there is a lot of stress and mental illness. Republicans hold the edge in total political leanings at 45% of the overall population (Democrats having 43% of the population). Never thought the end product would be Bobby Jr & Trump rallies but here we are. Jumped the Idiocracy shark in 2015& haven’t looked back. Really excited for SpaceX to become Skynet soon

Why do they keep calling it "channel 5"? In New York, channel 5 is Fox. What network does he mean?

"They were trying to make remote schooling permanent!" Imagine that, your kid safe at home while they learned in a comfortable environment. So evil, you guys.
@raeesrichards67862 ай бұрын
Remote schooling aside (which would work well as a hybrid model): "Shut[ting] down society", "bring[ing] in Central Bank digital currencies", and abolishing cash all sound like somewhat bad choices, but don't really sound particularly dystopian. Abolishing cash could even be a good measure, if complimented with the creation of local physical currencies to ensure a circular economy within a town or state. I don't get how someone could get so worked up by this.

Sorry but that does sound really bad, everyone needs community and to socialize but children expecially. Also home is not a safe comfortable environment for many children. No, I get bullies and whatever but the societal consequences of making all schooling remote would be frankly catastrophic.

I disagree, for me specifically i cannot focus without being present there with a teacher and i dont think i am the only one. Granted i dont have to worry about getting shot in school
@raeesrichards67862 ай бұрын
@@Discojericho I do agree. In terms of absolutes: remote learning would be worse than accessing education in-person. That said, the absolute scenario would be unlikely; it's more likely that it may have been used in rare cases such as being unable to attend school due to an illness, or as a provisional measure for an inaccessibility problem that cannot immediately be attended to by the school.

Wait they believe regulation is what big business wants? Big business WANTS governments to tell them they cant do money saving, immoral things? 😂😂😂😂 Also then he started complaining about his water not being clean. I wonder if there's a word beginning with R that could tell companies to stop polluting water supplies 🤔

Imho, the 2-state solution is idiotic. For the same reasons why Vaush has said that Texas seceding from the Union would fail. Gaza/West Bank do not have the infrastructure to support themselves. They need to have 1 state with equal representation in an Israelistine government and equal citizenship for all. No more boundaries, no more checkpoints. Plus, Net-and-yoohoo would absolutely mald over that.
