Channel crossings: Migrants allowed to leave for the UK from Northern France

Sky News has witnessed migrants leaving the French coast in inflatable boats unchallenged by authorities as they head towards the UK's shores.
Calm seas mean a record number of crossing attempts continue to be made.
The French authorities insist they are taking steps to stop boats crossing the Channel.
Sky's Europe Correspondent Adam Parsons reports.

I am trying to understand how it is that the migrants come through many safe countries to get here. They say that they have family. In which case it would be reasonable to ask for proof. If papers are intentionally lost by migrants, then it has to be made law that the point of leaving is home and therefore the right of the Brits to return each boat to France. I'm guessing that the law at present is preventing this taking place. To some in the UK, this may be seen simply as cheap labour, so keep them coming. There seems little or no willing or effort, but the money is there all £54 millions which the French receive for doing nothing but encouraging it to happen and are complicit in the suffering of the migrants. If the French are not using the money we give to stop the migrants, then we shoukd supply the migrants with the cash if that is at all possible. That would definitely make the French lift their heads up out of the sand. Let's hope they just don't buy speed boats with the money. 😆😆😆

Thats why they arrive from France, they need ID cards, so it's difficult to obtain any work. Many work in the black market on arrival, as well and getting benefits and accommodation etc they receive £39 weekly, what's that then? Obviously it's not the general benefits British citizens apply for. It's an allowance..

There are seven? criteria for re-joining the EU/EEC .One is a stable economy, one is a trustworth political framework & one is a human rights framework. The UK fails on these 3 criteria. The U.K. should declare a state of national emergency like Poland has? If it becomes clear that paying criminals large sums to bypass immigration rules does not work then this will stop. The Polish boarder had ~5 days worth of ships crossing the channel but the firm and decisive action has stopped new people travelling within a couple of weeks and will benefit all sides in the long run. I am writing this to my MP to make my thoughts known
