With drone videography we can’t just fly around hoping for something interesting to be around the corner/bend. Battery capacity determines flight time and has to be monitored and managed as efficiently as possible. Hey Dan...I'm going to speculate that there is some coordination of where you fly your drone when a train comes through. I highly doubt that things are coincidental. So how does one find out the time table of a rolling stock freight coming through a certain geographical section? Thank you.

No way to publicly get freight train schedules so it is a bit of luck as well as inside intel from railroaders. Amtrak is the only railroad you can get public live time updates.

@@TheRailfanDan I figured as much. Caught an Amtrak a couple of days ago with the engines sporting blue and red livery colors. I mean...like there was hardly any silver on them. So weird.
