Stunning..... and Stunning. What else I can say? A rare sight. How can someone put in that much painstaking endeavours to brilliantly film such documentaries.

@@damaliamarsi2006 Drones do not record audio. I record the ground video so you at least get some train audio included.

Very nice video. Just a tiny little idea that imho would improve at least my viewer experience ... I wish you could show some details of structures along the track, like the little bridge at 0:35 where I would like to see some side images.

Marvelous skills shown flying the drone so smoothly, I didn’t know this part of 9:38 NV looks like it could be Eastern OR! In the train going over the 2nd engine was BNSF’s any idea how it showed up on UP’s train? Thanks

Generally I am not a fan of drone work however even I must say this video is exceptional. Excellent coverage of 4014 across Nevada and I like the mix of actual sound + music.
@TheRailfanDanКүн бұрын
Well thanks very much that's a high compliment then. It's a big deal to me to add actual audio to drone footage with steam engines but at some point it does get very repetitive so I like to break that up with music.

Nicely done. You caught me and my truck in your 5723/MGRRV pacing sequence. I am on the hill just above the intermediate signal. Thanks for sharing.

Spending a couple hours waiting in the 100 degree heat, checking out all those millions of Mormon crickets crawling around everywhere ,was so surreal,and then to be rewarded with such an epic crossover catch, was one of the most epic experiences of our entire trip! That one will be a forever memory. Thanks again for the fun, son. Cheers!

Congratulations, Dan, you were in the right place at the right time to catch that over/under two train action in Paradise Canyon. That was a magnificent catch. It is obvious from the scenery why this area is named Palisade Canyon. (Posted 21 September 2024 at 2248 CDT.)

The impossibly long trains, beautiful scenery and soothing music make your video's so enjoyable to watch. The over/under catch was pretty cool. I got to see another UP train that I didn't think I would. My daughter drove us to Rochelle, Il., I live in northern Il., and got to see the 4014 Big Boy up close and personal. What a special day that was.

Dan, back in early November of 2018 you captured the only other "over-under" I've seen. It was in "the Columbia River Gorge at the Oregon Trunk Jct. where BNSF crosses the river on the Oregon Trunk line as well as crossing Union Pacific's Portland Subdivision on the Oregon side".

Hahaha..Pretty foamy, indeed! That was close to not happening, but it still counts fair and square. Thanks for more material from Palisade Canyon. I'm just curious, in case I am able to go in the future, was it very buggy (mosquitos and flies) there in July? I've heard some accounts from settlers passing through there that the skeeters and flies can be intense in there. 🤠👍

I’m glad you were able to “see” the over vs. under view of two trains. I too wondered at the slowest of the east bound , when you mentioned they may of lost an engine, it all made sense . Thank you for posting a view I’ll never see in person, we have trains in S. central Tx , (waiting to see Big Boy next week) but no cross overs that I can think of. Thanks Dan ❤️👍
