I seriously doubt they’re gonna retcon Silverstreams character in these comics. I’m more under the impression that they want to give her more screen time so that her relationship with Graystripe and her following death feels more impactful and tangible to the reader. When I was a kid I didn’t really have a strong connection to Silverstream. When she died, I was sad because I was upset for Graystripe. I’m hoping that the comics introduce her early on, potentially in border conflicts and gatherings. She probably won’t have a ton of important dialogue but they might begin her rescuing Graystripe earlier than usual. That’s just my thought process, I don’t expect the comics to blow me out of the water but I don’t expect them to be bad by any means, they look really promising and the artist is a Warriors fan so they seem to know what they’re doing. I’ll keep my hopes high until the book actually comes out

The graphic novels are a great resource for people with aphantasia, people who can’t form pictures/images in their head. Also I feel like the argument of “taking away the reader’s ability to picture” a scene is a little dumb cause, you can still imagine the scene how you want. No one is saying how this graphic novel presents is how you have to imagine it. It’s the same for when novels get turned into other visual media like tv shows or movies.

Just because the graphic novel has designs doesn't mean it's the definitive design for the whole series, it's just the novel artists takes on how the characters would look like plus a book having an graphic adaptation doesn't ruin people's imagination on what happens in the original book, people can still imagine the characters the way that they want to, many novel book series that people love have movie, comic book, and game adaptations so what's the problem with Warriors doing the same?

Since I didn't have visuals when first reading Warriors, when the thunderpath or monsters first came up. I had first thought the thunderpath was some supernatural streak of fog that the monsters would often be seen running through and the monsters could kill cats if they came too close, but I never knew how.

ARE YOU FOR REAL RIGHT NOW?! I thought that EXACT same thing!! My autistic ass was (and still is) waayyyyy too literal so when they were described as monsters, I thought they were literally ghost\demon hybrids cursed to only occupy the narrow and long strips of fog that were like, invisible fingers of hell only visible to cats. If you got to close to a monster in the fog they instantly killed you and attempted to drag your soul to hell but StarClan used their power to intervene and rescue the souls of cats that they killed. I felt SO FKING STUPID when I figured out the truth LMAO

As someone you started with graphic novels in my young days, i think graphic novels can be useful to people who have a hard time to imaginate. Other than that, graphic novels are a fun way to visualise the characters and settings better only after you have read the books, i dont know, its like completing a completely black and white drawing with colour. As much as i love visualizing myself, the emotions of seeing what you have or haven't missed, and how close it is to something that someone else imaginates, idk, it connects everyone closer. this why i love watching fandom maps, art, pmvs and animations.

The graphic novel is just another take on the series, it’s by no means a way to force people to stop being imaginative with designs and locations. As someone with aphantasia I’ve always struggled to picture the events in the books, and I think this is a great way to broaden the audience of the series. There’s nothing stopping people who dislike the adaptations from just reading the original books. As for the whole Silverstream “villain” thing… I think it’s pretty far fetched to say the series is getting a graphic novel to retcon the original books because one of the authors is divorced? The “bad decisions” line is pretty clearly alluding to her death - while in the long run the relationship DID lead to good, it’s undeniable that at the time of the books releasing her relationship with Greystripe was a bad decision. It was against the warrior code, which was a much larger part of the series at the time (leading to cats being shunned/punished). The first edition of the graphic novel also covers part of Fire and Ice, not to mention Silverstreams popularity - hence why they released a promo image of her.

I fucking WISH the Animorphs graphic novels had the art direction and stylization of the Warriors adaptation- but sure, things are bad because they streamlined some events because Harper Collins is too greedy to just have 6 full graphic novels adapted.

The constantly nice and supportive wife who has no thoughts beyond “I just want you to be happy my love” is a borderline misogynistic trope. A mean girl character can also having misogynistic writing but at least it gives her more depth than the very bare bones character she had in the first series (she was basically fridged too). Let the girl be a spoiled Clan princess and daughter of the leader while still being a sympathetic character.

I like the cartoony style of the graphic novel. Silverstream in Graystripe’s graphic novel is supposed to just be a dream of his, right? Not her actual spirit from StarClan? Graystripe was never able to commune with StarClan in the series.

I've read the graphic novel. While it does have it's flaws, that doesn't make it bad. I can say this. I. LOVE. The graphic novel. Sure it ain't perfect, but it doesn't need to be. It's amazing the way it is! It's beautiful! Anyone who hasn't read it really should. Also, i kinda like the Silverstream design. Whether or not you agree with me, Silverstream's design is still good even if it isn't accurate. We can still enjoy it. Y'all can insult the design of Silver all you want, but it's not gonna lead the artists to remake the entire novel because of one simple flaw. Just enjoy it :)

Came back after years to look for the feathersasha video but saw that you made a new one! To add my piece of opinion (especially after reading the graphic novel) the art is absolutely fantastic, the characters are unique yet recognizable, I love that for the first time ever, they gave the characters eyebrows and winged eyeliner (that is not exclusive to she cats either, such as Princess and Tigerclaw having it but not Bluestar and Sandstorm) and I don't think a graphic novel takes away own imagination, because the same thing can be argued for fan art, I still imagined the cats differently after seeing fan interpretation. The art is very detailed and charming and far from 'lazy' and 'just decent'. Though I agree with the WOF ones, I was never a fan of those. But the kits that were abducted to Shadowclan got more characterization than in the og books. As others have pointed out already the adaptation is going to be 3 books for the whole first series, so it only makes sense to add bits of fire & ice into the first one. As for Silverstream (love her buff design) the "bad decisions" part may just be foreshadowing her death. Just because the outcome of Feathertail is good doesn't mean that her death was any less horrible. From what I can remember from the og books, Silverstream made the decision that she wanted to be with Graystripe instead of staying in the camp where she would have gotten medical help faster, you could argue risking your life just to see someone casually is a bad decision. (Although doing whatever you want despite possible dangers is a part of a character's charm.) And no one can deny the stress that was put on both the couples friends, Fireheart and Mistyfoot. If you read all of this, I applaud you❤

Honestly I've really enjoyed the non-warriors stuff. I still enjoy your warriors content, but I just feel like there's a lot nicer vibe from the gaming clips. Yeah, it's fun to get your hate on, but it's also fun to just share things that make you happy. I know I have some extra bias, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Fallout are my favorite anime/manga and gaming series, of course I love New Vegas clips and Jojo memes. Do what brings you joy, there might not be as many people watching, but you'll still have an audience. As for the graphic novels, I'm really excited! I know part of this is that I read a lot of manga (admittedly, mostly Seinen) and I'm a huge Watership Down fan and it had 2 very good adaptations that I could see Warriors potentially following. I even have a tattoo of the animated film's version of the Black Rabbit of Inle, I'd love to see Warriors follow its or a lot of other visual medium xenofiction adaptations in their quality. Plus this isn't the first time Warriors is being adapted as a graphic novel of some sort either, of course there's the mangas and the current fan webcomic boom, but other translations have had comic/manga/etc adaptations of direct book scenes before. I can see it going well. Also for context, from everything I've read, the graphic novel is going to cover the first 2 books/each graphic novel is going to adapt 2 books. This is a good thing as the first arc is the only one that really works as 6 books. I think it's probably less cynical, "bad decisions" just meaning her dying. I'd imagine Silverstream might be bitchier like her recent arc appearances, but a lot of people really love bitchier Silverstream. It gives her a more in your face personality to have her be remembered for instead of just the fridging, which is why I imagine this is happening in the first place. Warriors has always had a misogyny problem and it still has a very blatant one, but a hopeful part of me thinks this is an attempted step to start to remedy some of it in the past.

The longer series run they tend to decline, I stopped reading the series at Dawn cuz it was so slow. The New Prophecy will be more bearable as a graphic novel. It is hard to write great book after great book there are always bound to be some subpar ones in any long series.

a fallout fan too huh? well this gives me another reason to subscribe. also i watch your channel because you are entertaining and you make me laugh. you also aren't just some puppet that follows path that alot of people try to follow. you call out bs when you see it. you don't pretend its not there when it fits your ideas and ideals. you are someone that i know it sounds weird but you are someone that i feel i can trust even if we don't always agree. you have proofin yourself quiet rage. also my problem with the graphic novel is that most of the characters look the same, they do not try to make any of the characters look different or tell a story with their design. like tigerclaw doesn't even look scary to me. he looks like a brown fireheart. like when i think tigerclaw i see a massive brownish orange like tabby who is a scaryA$$ brute willing to do what it takes to get what he wants, even if he has to murder for it. fireheart i see as your basic good guy underdog or undercat heh, who can see pass borders and always has a opened mind to other's opinions even if those opinions are not from his own clan. to me he has your basic hero body type. and the last comparison is bluestar. bluestar is your respectable wise leader type who does what's right but also tries to keep a fine line between her clan and the others so they don't get in the way of her own clan's problems. she has the leader body type. she is not tigerclaw massive but she does have a strong body to her but she's kinda got a similar body to fireheart's in my opinion. okay one more i guess. graystripe to me is your goofy best friend type that is there for you even at your worse of times type. he is a descent warrior in combat but he's to me has a fluffy but more friendly and chubby appearance to him. and i know i just couldn't forget Silverstream. while i find buff silverstream interesting and maybe i'll try to make a design that mixes both designs of her some how but as i see her, she is a slim or sleek cat with silver fur with fur that is probably always shimmering like an otter's. she is probably very respected in her clan do to her father being leader which would probably give her this feeling of she could do whatever she wanted even if that meant possibly betraying her clan to date graystripe. crookedstar probably would never kick his daughter out lets be honest. also she probably kinda has a opened mind like fireheart does and she can see pass clan borders as well. now that being said that doesn't mean she would betray her clan. her family and friends are there afterall.

as someone who actually thinks series 7 and 8 are better than series 6 and 4 (yes, really), there’s no excusing series 9. i say that, and it hasn’t even come out yet- why? well. moonpaw. the one new protagonist of the upcoming series… we know her design and we know her parentage. the latter? THEY MADE THEM FIRST COUSINS FROM THUNDERCLAN. sunbeam and nightheart? pfft, why would we choose such a fitting couple for her name? any other clan? hell no, protagonistclan never dies. i will not stop being salty about this.
