Carly your thoughts you shared were very helpful and reassuring. Your paintings are beautiful and it’s only been about a year since you transitioned into oils. There’s a lot to unpack and think about from this video, so I’ll watch it & listen to it many times in the days & months ahead. Don’t ever underestimate the importance and power of you. And thank you for allowing me into your mind and studio. Stay well! 🫶

Carly, greetings from the Adirondack Mountains. Your video -- your grace, commentary and supportive throughts -- have already helped with forward motion in my own work for the day. Morning has has broken here on Lake Pleasant, and while the day will soon transform into the bustle of birds and forest sounds, the quiet sweetness of your encouragement has already perfumed the environs. Thank you.

This was so beautiful to watch and listen to! Thank you 🙏🏾 for a wonderful 11:30 min therapy session ! I‘m an artist who stopped creating for a while and stuck in grief… your words reminded me of the medicine that is our own art! 👁️💗👁️

I knew a while ago you would be a great painter, and I was right it took you no time at all to learn .once an artist, always a artist .but never let your talent interfere with reality,family, and friends ❤.use art as a vacation from reality once in a while.love you, Carly Rene .been a fan for a while. Keep up the great talent.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤

You do not know how much you have touched my heart. I've refrained from artistry to pursue funding in painting houses and cars. I'm 59 and have been diagnosed with an extreme case of CPTSD. Therapy is several times a week. I'm grief stricken. I also have a 8ft tall 25ft long roll of canvas I bought 10 years ago & never opened. Guess you've touched my senses to make some painting canvas and put my Kaos on it

Man 54. I was a painter decorater, commercial, and industrial. Cptsd, alcohol self medicating. Sober just over a year. Art, as a kid, picked it up again after sobriety. Just do it, bro. No one is watching. Don't show anyone. Be gentle to yourself and let it out on canvas, man. Paint ugly, paint angry, paint sad, paint insanity, paint it all. You'll see. You'll feel it. It's time.

Excellent piece of art as always. I like how you are getting better and better in this medium art every day. Your growth in art has been phenomenal. As one of the first subscribers I do miss your charcoal and graphite work. I like the portion where you showcased your mentor's artwork that was a treat to watch. I like the thoughts shared by you in this video it's very positive and I completely agree with you 💯. Honestly I really liked your mentor's work so if there's a website where we can see more of his work or get our hands on few would be really awesome. You're blessed to have a mentor like him and he's blessed to have an exceptional student like you. Keep up the good work Carly and God bless you :D

This was meant for me to see! I have been laid off from work, funds are really low, bills keep coming in, and yes I’m definitely experiencing sadness at the moment, but seeing this only pushes me more to create art to express from my inner being. I have paint, canvasses, new paintbrushes that I haven’t even used yet. Instead of watching movies all day, and consuming I will create art. Thanks Carly😊

You sure know how to brighten up a Monday morning! What a great way to enjoy a cup of tea. Welcome back! Every artist has to find a way to navigate the demands of their art versus the requirements of commerce and the need to make a living. I believe that this is the reason why so many avoid art -- it doesn't seem practical. "How can I pay for a car, food, a family, on what I can make painting or writing or..." (The motto of the Mystery Writers of America is "Crime doesn't pay -- enough!", meaning that it's really tough to live on what a mystery writer makes.) We all know enough artists to understand that the "starving artist" meme is based on real experience. Your own comments on KZbin's algorithms and the need to satisfy the computer's expectations is a modern world manifestation of this ancient conflict. I truly hope you manage to resolve this problem in a way that results in you creating art regularly. The temptation to "go corporate"; get a job and drudge through it for 40 or 50 years before retiring, and THEN you can be the artist you wanted to be. I'm dubious. I don't know anyone for whom that has worked. But I have faith in you. You're smart and tough and talented and you'll figure something out. We all look forward to watching, hopefully, occasionally.

Carly I've been watching you creating your art and was wondering where you get your canvas from and what it's called as I would like to get a roll and continue with my painting. Kindest Regards Keith
@carlyrenee.art7 күн бұрын
Hey Keith, I have been using a polycotton canvas. It’s a a mix between polyester and cotton fibers, and this means that the canvas is ultra smooth! I really love it, it’s probably best to just Google polycotton canvas and find an art store near you that stocks it or delivers, as if you’re not from Australia, it will be extremely expensive to get it from my store. I get it in a 10 m roll and it is also triple primed, which I love.
