I like how Gerry doesn’t get angry back at Joe no matter how much he gets heckled by him but does stand up for himself if it’s really necessary like the incident with the waitress

There is one emotional scene where Gerry praises Mary and says she can do anything she wants when she confesses about going back to school, and Joe without moving a muscle calls him “an absolute arsehole”. That was peak comedy.
