You know, most games tend to power creep DLC characters just a bit in order to incentivize the purchase of a character. Even though Deadpool is a major name and selling point in Marvel as a whole both from the comics and the MCU, he ended up being mediocre beyond belief.

This video is a very good breakdown of Deadpool. I feel that this character would shine better if there was endgame content with longer missions. They had good ideas with the character but that Pain Pinata card is a disgrace and he at least needs a little bit of rework with his passive that doesnt work well with the stacking of "En Fuego".

I left the game after getting 100% on the main story, knowing the dlc would be drip fed and that it was going to take a while. Just picked the game back up and bought the season pass. Playing all the dlc has been quite refreshing. I can see why you’d be disappointed waiting for the content to be fixed on release Deadpool should have way more quick cards in his deck without mods, or be able to get his card plays back on each en fuego stack. His cards feel really plain considering he’s deadpool. He’s not the kind of character that can last on high difficulty

First of all, I just loved your guides! Please don't stop making them! Second, just In case people don't know, there's a mod in NexusMods called 'Deadpool Buffed' that makes him much, much more decent (far from broken). I tried and... it's wonderful! And yes, 'Dead from Above' has quick! 😂🥰

Wouldn't the Resists from "Hey #$%^ Face" be very helpful in ensuring Deadpool doesn't take damage and thus doesn't lose any En Fuego? Seems like a reasonably good card to me. (I don't mean use him as a Tank as suggested in the video, just have the card to help preserve that En Fuego)

Sorry for the late reply, but yes the F Face resists are very helpful. If for some reason DP is targeted he won't lose En Fuego stacks (which the video author, despite making a very good video, butchers the pronunciation of). I have this in my current DP kit but with a mod that makes it free.

Hands down best builds bar none. Love the content! I love looking at Reddit builds and giggling while they bitch about stuff like Blade being too low dmg kekw... Tho I must say that as much as I love Deadpool, I find his En Fuego mechanic going contrary to the idea of U3 to end mission in as little turns as possible... Only when you get tons of minions you get a chance to build up his En Fuego fast, can't wait to see what build have you cooked, I mostly have quick on everything +2 Heroism on All Together now... but I find it underwhelming on general missions, except when there are tons of minions like Vampire missions... Anyhow I'ma shut up now and watch. Cheers!

I've been loving your videos, especially the one about how to get the mods you want. Regarding your rant about the DLC, any chance you could use your influence to get them to fix the achievements at all? For both DLCs, I had to start "New Game" (New Game+ didn't work) to get the achievements, and Big Game Hunter (get all the other achievements) has never worked for me, so I'm currently sitting at 60/61 with no way to get the last one.

They definitely dropped the ball on the Deadpool DLC. It just seemed rushed and lacking of thought or effort, but the venom DLC is better, which is hopeful. It seems like you put more work into your Deadpool review than they did the actual dlc. Achievements still aren't working for me, but I can at least play the game. BTW I am curious, which mod you run on Holy Spark, I assume Holy Gift is draw last attack same like Inspire/Call to arms, with Bands and Patience being quick? EDIT NVM I SHOULD SHUT UP AND WATCH BEFORE COMMENTING :P Re Bugs in a game, I have a new one... Just finished a mission on U3 (been playing on U3 for at least 60 days, still didn't finish the story (Aside from unlocking Mr. Pool and Venom, story wise I just got Parchment of Power on Whiny Robbie, I am grinding a LOT of side missions, don't want campaign to end with how NG+ looks) Anyhow, I finish the mission in 3 turns (hack the server), with a Villain showing up, wasn't 3 star, Wanda got KO'd and post mission screen, I am prepping to make my comic and I get message " YOU UNLOCKED NEW DIFFICULTY - HEROIC II" (luckily I was able to load save from mission table and altho the bug popped up again, I just pressed back, and now I am still on U3 but U3 is locked if I go to change difficulty lol... the bugs are really getting me, but you took the cake, I watched your Deadpool DLC Stream VODS and I feel your pain. I better stop before this comment ends up being a length of a novel ... Keep up the awesome work. Love the content and your dirty "let's break the game" brain xD

For quickshot apply 1 mark works the best for me, this way you just kill minion then mark enemy with health, after that use overpower , death from above or boom headshot with kill draw 2 cards or gain strengthen. Usually i run with 2 quick shot for better chance, and i put 2 "all together" with redraw and +2 heroism generated finally a mag dump with quick/draw on kill and burning sensation with any mod Still i think deadpool definitely need a huge buff cause he's the definition of all theory but no practice hero. Yes theoretically he is the strongest but practically he is the dookiest and both because of en fuego mechanic (the irony), because the dev afraid he becomes a monster, they neutered him to the point he barely even usable

32:10 Holy gift was patched to only maintain the skills used by the hunter by the way, so there is no more re using exhausts from other characters. This means most exhausts from other heroes became mostly garbage aside from a few that can clean the map.

its not just deadpool. the main problem is the average marvel fan definitely has not heard of the midnight suns so you needed that much familiarity in order to even get them interested in the first place. i will cite 2005s nemesis rise of the imperfects as my example here.

Iron Man with Mark 1 on Surgical Strike is AMAZING at marking. If the Mark mechanic is working properly, he can often play that Surgical Strike without using any card play. Just to top it off, Effort Maximizer makes it easy to have 12 Iron Man cards in your hand when you play Surgical Strike, giving you a Chain 12! Yep, the item from the Deadpool DLC doesn't really help Deadpool all that much, but it makes the already OP Iron Man even more OP.

@@AskZch Mainly it's because I want the "optimal" Iron Man deck without needing to rely on any other heroes. And since I can only select 8 cards for him, I just don't have room in the deck for Mark Target. Here's the optimized deck I try to go with: 2x Quick Blast /mod Draw Iron Man card on KO. This gives heroism and normally draws 2 cards. The card draw is important, because Surgical Strike wants as many Iron Man specific cards as possible. 2x Leave It To Me /mod +2 Heroism Draw 2 Iron Man cards, reduce the cost of heroic cards, generate 4 heroism AND get +2 redraws (on a hero who can use those redraws to gain damage). Because I can't make this Free, I usually only play it once per turn, sometimes once per 2 turns, but everything this card does is vital to my strategy. I could drop one of these for a Mark Target, but then I'm losing 1/4 of my card draw, and on turn 1 in particular, that's important to have. 2x Precision /mod +2 Redraws. This keeps valuable Iron Man cards in my hand, and generates those redraws. You could replace one of these with Mark Target if you really want to, but I prefer to have 2 of these so I am more likely to retain my powerups on Hellfire Beam. 1x Surgical Strike /mod Mark 1. With the card draw of this deck, you should have at least 4 Iron Man cards in your hand when you play this, and you probably have more. That's between 500% Offence and 1500% Offence (with 12 attacks). If you hit one enemy two or more times and get the KO, the card play is refunded (or should be if the system's working). And you're free to mark other enemies that you select, while also dealing damage to them. That damage can be enough to let you use a Quick Attack to finish them off, but otherwise you just mark the enemy to be finished off by Hellfire Beam, refunding the card play for THAT attack. And being a chain attack, you can trim the edges so you have a nice line for your Hellfire Beam to work with. Adding 50% Offence per strike gives another 200% to 600% Offence to the overall attack, and if you're using Mark Target then you'd have also made the foe with the most HP vulnerable, so there's that. But you might also be sacrificing one or more attacks in the chain that way since a Free Mark Target won't have card draw or retain a card. 1x Hellfire Beam /mod (whatever). Unlike Air Superiority, there is NO limit to the number of redraws you can power this up with. And with this deck, it's easy to generate 10+ redraws per turn, and keep those power ups for the next turn thanks to Precision. So on turn 1, it's normal to have a Hellfire Beam that does 600% Offence, and add another 500% Offence to that on each successive turn. I can see the appeal of dropping a Precision for a Mark Target. It's a very good option. But then you're playing a card that (potentially) uses a redraw rather than generates them. And you're reducing the number of cards powering up your Surgical Strike as well. Will it work? It's Iron Man, the most OP hero in the game, of COURSE it will work! But I think it's a bit less optimal than the deck I've listed. But feel free to try it out, because even IF I'm 100% correct, it's not like that change will make him less than the most OP hero in the game.

My build: Overpowered x1 - Quick Quick Shot x2 - Apply 1 Bleed Spread the Love x1 - Redraw to gain Resist All Together Now x1 - x2 Redraw Hey, F*** Face! x1 - Draw a Deadpool Card Mag Dump x1 - On KO Gain Strengthen Burning Sensation x1- On redraw gain heroism Between Quick Shot and Overpowered with Quick, it is possible to achieve En Furgo 3 on turn 1, most of the time En Furgo 2 is easy to get. I used to run Boom Headshot with Conceal on KO, but since I learned how to get en furgo faster and avoid taking hits, I replaced it with Spread the Love for high en fuego damage. Deadpool basically requires a tank with area taunts, so Wolverine or Cap. America to pull aggro off and allow him to build up. I have Spread the Love and Burning Sensation modded with redraw benefits because you'll redraw them before you build up en fuego. Dr Strange, Wolverine and Deadpool team comp is so damn good. Strange to pull last attacks and buff so many chain cards that I'm scared to play them. I found a specific use case for Pain Pinata: Mod it with Apply Bleed and blast vampyres to mark all of them. Pain Pinata has a big zone starting at En Furgo 3.
