Nowadays, yes. When I first saw it as a kid though, I had no clue because I didn't know what the numbers were about. Not to mention bringing ACTUAL monstrosity in a movie about the mythical kind.

3:50 i had the same issue in my middle school. I use to draw a lot in class and i got in trouble all the time for it. The teachers would say things like: "it's nice but we're not in art class" or "if i see you draw again, i will confiscate your sketch book" (as if that was gonna stop me from drawing...) they would even write on my report card "she's a good student, doesn’t disturb the class but she needs to stop drawing and pay attention". But the thing is i DID listen: drawing in class made me focus more! But the teachers never believed me... To be fair i was in a french catholic private school and i don't know if it would have been the same if i was in a public school... I've never stopped drawing!

Frankenstein('s Monster :p) was actually incredibly accurate in this movie, personality wise. Never wanted to hurt anyone, just lonely and terrifying to look at. Victor Frankenstein was a tool who couldn't even be arsed to name the thing he created. You should read the original if you haven't, it deserves it's reputation.

No bullshit, that fucking "reality" bills monster was legit creepy as fuck, lol. Good Fucking make up job or whatever you used to create that fucker. I was watching this review with my 6 year old niece and she was all into the review and wasn't scared by the monsters in the movie, she was digging Dracula and the wolfman and the mummy, and she really liked Frankensteins monster, but when that bill monster came on screen I could tell it kinda spooked her because she scooted up to me and tensed up, but when that Fucking thing started talking, she closed her eyes and begged me to skip ahead, lol. It's pretty funny that your review of a movie called "Monster Squad" the thing that scared my niece the most was the cheaply created bill monster, LMFAO. Good video Doug, I Fucking love your channel and have been subscribed since 2013, and have seen almost all your reviews twice. I especially dig your Stephen King reviews. I've always been a really big King fan and started reading his books as a teenager, but I have always hated that for some reason someone in the 90's thought taking his violent, disturbing, and dark stories and turning them into primetime network television miniseries. I Fucking hate all of his bullshit 90's miniseries, especially IT because that was my favorite King book and they absolutely destroyed it trying to water it down and censor it enough to put it on primetime ABC. I can't wait for the R rated theatrical release later this year. Even if it is a bad movie, anything will be infinitely better than that horse shit. Also, The Stand was a great book with a bullshit miniseries. Is there ever gonna be a Nostalgia Critic episode on The Stand? I would love to see you do an episode on the Stand. I can't believe there isn't one already. The Stand is one of Kings more popular books, and it is also one of the worst miniseries. Is there a particular reason that NC hasn't done a Stand episode? He's done the tommyknockers, The Langoliers, and IT. I want to see a NC on the Stand and also Desperation. That miniseries was laughably bad, lol. The one bright spot about IT was Tim Curry's pennywise, but Desperation also has a overly cheesy great villian in Ron Perlman. Watching Clay Morrow over act as a possessed small town cop is fucking awesome, lol. Ron Perlman makes that entire series watchable the same way Tim Curry did.
