Channing Tatum's Gambit DESERVES his own movie

Channing Tatum has wanted to star in a Gambit movie for the past 10 years. Ryan Reynolds made his dream of wearing the suit come true in Deadpool and Wolverine, but Tatum mentioned that he hasn't given up on his idea of starring in his own movie. Fans want to see it, the actor wants to do it, and surely the casual audience would be interested in such a film because it would be different from what we've seen of the mutants in the Fox universe. But will Marvel make a Gambit movie? And if they do, what story will they tell? We talk about all that in this video.

We live in an era of nostalgia. I think if Gambit is gonna work, the directors that could make this work might be Phil Lord and Chris Miller, they've worked with Channing in 21 Jump Street, this could be fun.

If they're gonna make a Channing Tatum Gambit movie, they better greenlit the project as soon as possible before the multiverse saga ends. Because after the multiverse saga ends probably they're only gonna focus at the soft rebooted MCU, like we're not gonna get Elseworlds stories anymore. I don't expect Channing Tatum to be the MCU Gambit cuz he's too old like if they introduce the MCU version of the X-Men they're probably gonna cast young actors for the role.

Both gambit and wolverine were well loved as kids. That’s why origins was a spit on all the fans faces. Between gambit and Deadpool they tried to ruin them. Happy to see them getting the love they deserve now

Ok the problem is nobody wants an origin story. Gambit being a cajun thief and a mutant should be enough. Keep the mystery, also a whole cast doing cajun accents is not gonna fly. We already see him as an ensemble character, i think without the xmen, nothing will work and itll bomb. No stand alone movie but maybe a 6 - 8 part series

Honestly? The amount of gymnastics you would have to do to fit Channing Tatum into the MCU is not worth it. FFS just cast a younger actor for the MCU. I think that CT's version of the character can appear in Secret Wars and then go back to either his universe or the universe the Fox X-Men occupy with all the other older versions of the characters. He may even be able to come back at some point as The Witness for the official 616 Gambit. But honestly, people need to stop trying to shoehorn this man into the MCU as Gambit.

As much as I admire Channing's will to play the character, I just don't think he's the right guy for it. I grew up with the comics and the cartoons and he's just too big to play him. Gambit was always my favourite character and he was always slim, so maybe there's a bit of nostalgia playing on my opinion but I still don't think he fits the bill at all
