Great story and realistic to how people will allow their emotions to get in the way of what needs to be done in a situation like this. Causing even more hardships. People worry about a emp. A lot of people haven't been paying attention to whats going on in the world. Globalists in foreign countries closing down thousands of farms, we've already had attacks on a few state power stations. Our power grid is already in severe shape the reason some states are suffering blackouts in winter and summer. Crime is higher than it's been and still rising. We don't actually have to suffer a emp because the way things are going it's NOT going to be much longer before the shtf whether people want to believe it or not. I hope the majority are prepared for whats coming.

I just ran into this audiobook tonight and have been listening for 1 1/2 hours straight and I am hooked. Thank you for sharing this amazing book with us and for free. I have been a prolific reader for my entire life from the age of five. I have been unable to read a book or anything for over a year now due an autoimmune disease that attacked my eye. Although my vision is improving I still have trouble seeing. I have just this month started listening to the audiobooks on KZbin and it has been great to hear them. Thanks again for sharing your book. Having grown up in Utah and living in the LDS culture you wrote about I can relate to the neighborhood gathering and how the characters organized at least to the point where I have listened.

I would have bugged day 2 or whenever Mellisa got home. I would have asked Stan too. I don't think Alex had met Luke yet, but yeah, would've headed to the sister-in-laws homested. Every one of those kids would've known how to use all the firearms. Suburbs is the last place you'd wanna be in a SHTF situation. How come no one is hunting? The nicest buck I've seen this year was in my sons yard in the suburbs of Rochester.

Coulda , Shoulda , Woulda . This is Fiction , not a Survival Manual ( Not a slam , she does better than average for the genre of getting details , and maintaining a measure of plausibly. Within the broadly encompassing " Post Apocalyptic " / " Survivist " genre there are bunches of works dealing with " BUG out to the wilderness " and " Highly trained Soecial Operators doing non stop Special Operating " . A group of semi -prepared people in an outer suburban enclave is a fresh approach .

Alex isn't a badass, he can't knife an unarmed guy who clearly is intent on destroying them. Melissa isn't one either, anything she is involved in is an absolute disaster. This is like a Lifetime movie, all feelings and little reality. - Where are hundreds of neighborhood people getting their water if in a week there was only a dusting of snow? - How was sanitation handled with no infrastructure? No flushing toilets + no trash service + lots of people close together = a health nightmare. - With food exchanging hands constantly like currency, why is nobody concerned about contamination or poisoning? Also, so much handling would dent cans, rip bags, crush boxes etc. and reduce the quality/edibility of said food. - Good thing nobody in the neighborhoods is a druggy or a sick pedo and kids start disappearing. Good thing there's nobody that needs prescribed psycho drugs and goes without. Only some angry people regarding food lol. - Talking about conserving ammo but never running out during a crucial moment. - Very comforting to know nobody committed suicide or went awal with a gun on a group of neighbors for any multitude of reasons. Glad 100% of suburbia there is mentally sound. - How can an electrician afford 4 night vision goggles!!! That's dropping $2000 to $4k into a metal can for "just in case". It's extremely unlikely, but if it did happen, that same person would have 10 times the value in food, ammo and other preps. NVGs are last on a pepper list - Even though this was in the last book I still must say....where the hell does a store sell plant starts in March? Maybe Texas, Florida etc but not Utah and other cold states (cold during that time). I'm glad so many viewers love your books but I can't shake the feeling that negative reviews are hidden....we'll see. I noticed that after the ambush I found myself skipping thru most of Melissa's chapters due to feelings fluff and actions/thoughts that brought nothing to the story. Seems like the 3 to 4 books could be condensed into 1 good one. But make your money girl....45+ commercials per book but I'm still here for some reason, kudos
