@wildwilco9 ай бұрын
@@Jaszczur-sp2tx threadlocker is a liquid which you barely notice. It hardens after a couple minute/hours depending on the type. Unless some cheap paste-like threadlocker was used, which I don't expect since he's paying top money for tye rest of the bike

Probably slightly twisted threads. I've had this issue with alot of bolts on my bike because the previous owner tightened EVERYTHING too much. Usually just straighten then out with a thread-making-thingy-rod (Sorry, english isn'y my first language) but doing it with a bolt can work just as well. :)

Paint the wheels Light or Dark Grey. You can do something like blue, red, yellow but in my opinion its a basic option. You can do white but in a couple of rides the dust will ruin the color and you will have to clean them every now and then. So i guess a shade of grey would be nice

If you're taking late breaking guesses on the wheel color, Justin, I'll go with Yammie Yellow. I think you're going to riff on your Dad's R1 since that's what I'd do. How could you not if that's the very bike of your dreams? Love your content - living vicariously since I don't trust myself with that much power. I love making solid lines out of dashed. It's addictive, no matter what racing colors one prefers! 😂

Hey man, I've been following your R1 project from the start. I've also got a track R1, but from 2019 and since she got registration im assembling her. Really like your content but there are somethings you can upgrade your bike. One the examples is to annulate the flap system on the air duct. Keep your good work, looking forward to see how your R1 is going to be when its done.

Those lightech levers have a couple of threaded holes underneath for you to screw a little L bracket into, which hit the brake/clutch switches. I just recently ran into this with my project and getting a replacement bracket and bolt was simple here in the UK.

Very good episode again, enjoying watching this come together. Whats your cute shop assistants name anyway :D As for the wheels, I'm absolutely with you when it comes to black.. a lighter color gives a much nicer contrast and shows off the intricate details alot better. Color wise, I've always loved the yamaha blue along with white wheels, yet that would be a huge pain to keep clean. Silver works, might get boring over time. Gold or bronze would also be nice.

Hey, just asking if it got aftermarket ecu or stock. If it's included in your purchase, put stock ecu back in and you should good to go. Stock ecu wouldn't have usb dongle hanging around. And yes you gotta see if it got aftermarket brakepad for operating temperature, o2 sensor (race bike would go with wideband, but if it's wet and stuttering will happen), and foremost license plate! You might have to flush the tank because race bike often use high-percentage ethanol and fill it with premium gas. These is why most people wouldn't buy track bike for street use, too much hassle and you might ended adding more money that you should have. Cheers mate!

Those rear sets are real nice and could be cleaned up to look much better than stock. They already do imo they’re just rough on the surface Edit: oh I see, they’re more different than I realized at first, I thought just the replaceable peg was different between the L & R side. I’ll take them if you don’t want them 😬

I'd paint the wheels the same bright yellow colour that the line on the side wall of your new street tires! My 2 cents, cheers mate!

"getting abused on track" that's not abuse, that's how sportbikes are supposed to be used! you actually abuse them way more on street rides, with traffic, traffic lights and so on building up heat where it's not supposed to build. proper maintenance plus track riding = a great bike
