@ChapmanMain

Its actual intention is for mega Spruce trees... As you Fill the entire block with logs... the outer water catches the leaf drops as you farm your way down the logs, not having to worry about picking up the drops!!! I also think it is a little useless but "starter wood farm" is a thing so I threw it in but gave up on putting the time into it. *Just go cut some friggin trees down*

Hey chapman. Loved the vid (mostly for the crop farm since i know how to do the others) because i haven't seen that design yet. There is however a tiny problem with the design - on the way out of the farm there is a single dry block (two blocks from the center towards the "mouth" of the farm where the trap door is) During my initial test I got 64 out of 76 planted. Now, granted - when you actually wait for the crops to grow losing that little is inconsequential especially taking into consideration the ease of use and time saved. Just wanted to let you know. I'll probably put down some ice on that block =) I really REALLY love this farm and I will probably use it again in my survival worlds. I made it and put a trap door to serve as a bridge because i prefer to get my boots dirty but other than that it's the same design.

I did try the crop farm on bedrock edition for PS4 and it didn’t work, once you try and put the trapdoor in the centre to wash your crops out to the edges, it just stays in the hole you made, and if you follow the instructions to the tee, the water just runs straight out if you put it in the centre with just a slab on one face, the trapdoors must work differently on Java to bedrock.

So. The food farm has a flaw. All items "gathered" by the water get stuck in the empty spaces caused by the trap doors. You must place a line of hoppers attached to a chest starting 1 block below the center trap door and ending at the chest at the front 4 block section to make this farm work.

Instead of a "cobblestone farm" I just measure out a 25x25 square in the ground and dig it down to bedrock. Once I hit Y-5 I then expand it to a 50x50 hole and sometimes a 100x100 hole. Not only do you accumulate cobble by the tens of thousands but you also end up with hundreds if not thousands of a bunch of other materials like iron, coal, gold, lapis, diamonds and obsidian. Its also really time consuming with is really good if your bored or wanting a long term goal for your survival worlds. Edit: a small 15x15 hole alone will get you at least 20,000(ish) cobblestone.

The stone/cobble farm, you can just waterlog some stairs and shrink the footprint of the farm a little. Drop the slabs off the back that way.

More efficient to make mega spruce trees. You can grow them stacked next to each other. A bubble elevator is ideal, but since this is a starter farm, you can make a long ladder to get to the top and chop downwards.

I put markers around my house. North south west and east. Every 20 blocks out put a stack of 4 cobble stone. The further you go just put more stacks out. Yhen you just look for the stacks.

The trapdoors sometimes doesn't let the items flow through. But I fixed that by using blue ice and signs instead. On PC - Java edition.

Dude I love the crop one. So simple. I've been so stupid when it comes to getting breeders and things right (Bedrock, I blame that haha), but I'm excited to try these. I think the kiddo will enjoy doing the crop one when they're grown. Edit: as I'm reading the comments, I'm feeling bummed out now. These are listed in the Bedrock playlist, assuming they should work for Bedrock edition, but it's not seeming that way. This is all fairly recent too. What is the purpose of placing these in the Bedrock folder in your playlist if they won't work with certain aspects (one major one being water placement on/in certain items in Java versus Bedrock)? I'm genuinely curious what your feedback on fixing some of these issues on Bedrock would be, as some of these lose their spark if they can't be properly used on that version.

When building to the middle place one slab then a sticky piston then put a lever above it then
@angeldominguez4631

Put a block in front of it then flip the switch and there’s your middle block put 3 blocks beside it like he did make it 2 blocks high and put a block above the wooden part of the sticky piston and then your water flip the lever on and off and it should work. ( sorry I put separate comments I had to look on how I did it and yea hope this helps! 😁 ❤️

Update: things also get stuck in the trap door and some people are saying i’ll need packed ice to fix that, which requires silk touch. This build overall just sucks for bedrock players :( wish he mentioned it before i did it

If you are having the same issue with the farm farm as i am where some of the items get stuck at 11:49 you can fix it by replacing the block below the trapdoor with an ice block. items slide on the ice and no longer get stuck there. Java Edition

*GASP!* You mean people weren't thrilled that you used Advanced MAterials to build Starter farms? Such purists! I mean, doesn't every player have diamonds and quarts 11 seconds into the game without using cheats? Heck, I don't even know why they'd want STARTER farms anyway, since they obviously have resources to build high end farms.

So there is this stuck point on the crop farm of some items after harvesting crops at the first trapdoor, there seems to be no way around it, tried any different combinations, but at this design of a farm, there is like ~15% loss of harvest. Yet, it’s great as it is semi automatic farm. 👌🏼
