51:06 I have to correct Will's correction here. The opening scene in Apocalypse Now actually is the same scene as the beach assault by Kilgore. I recently listed to the commentary and Coppola said that intro shot was just footage from the many redundant cameras rolling to capture the explosion, which they needed since they had just one take. He figured since he was sitting on this stockpile of film, why not find some way to work it in. As for the song, he thought the idea of putting a song named "The End" at the beginning of the film was humorous. That's it. I mean, yes, it works perfectly or he wouldn't have kept it in the final cut, but it's funny that the one of the most iconic scenes in film history was a product of waste and whimsy.
