I've not heard such dirty lyrics from such a beautifully melodic and longing filled song. It's a juxtaposition that's difficult to achieve and you nailed it. Like, doesn't sound anything like Hozier style wise but the ability to do this. Lol

Today’s version of “He Hit Me and it Felt like a Kiss” Hozier gives those vibes w Cherry Wine. If you haven’t heard the Mahogany Sessions of that song go listen now. That and “Like Real People Do” sitting under a tree. Fanfuckingtastic! Hope your day is as wonderful as your taste in music😘

Those kind of guys don't really see women as equals they still operate under the mentality that women are inferior beings that can be treated however with no consequences like the way you can kick around a ball in the yard and it's just an object for your entertainment not a living entity with a conscience and and a right to fair and equal treatment. 2023 and *some* dudes still act like it's the 1600s.

I am an “older” millennial (‘88). But this seems a little like the new generation’s “you outta know”. Though FAIRLY less acidic. Yet it still bites. But it’s more subtle. And i love that. Still packs the same sentiment and feeling. Gen Z, please don’t feel that millennials harbor any resentment. You’re going through what we did, probably tenfold. Let’s band together in trying to figure out this mad, beautiful, and fucked up world. ❤
@autumnjmo8 ай бұрын
I thought the same.
@illbeyourstumbleine5 ай бұрын
I am a 1980 baby, so I’m literally on the cusp of the oldest millennial youngest Gen X. My oldest daughter is 1996, so she’s also on the very cusp as the youngest millennial, oldest Gen Z. Personally I feel like a relate more with GenX and she feels the same about being a Millennial. What we both agree on is music and how the world is getting progressively worse and harder for each generation. So many people say Boomers were the last generation to be able to buy/afford a home with one income. But we bought our 4 bedroom 100yr old craftsman house in 2004 for 85k! Our home is now worth around a million dollars!!!! That’s just crazy to me. But our city had a huge boom in home prices and people moving here so that’s the reality, especially because we live 4 blocks from downtown, we can walk/bike to anything. We want to move to land because this home was wonderful as a young family, playgrounds and pool halls on the same street, but as we wanna retire early we want to have a mini farm. Live semi off grid to cut down expenses, hopefully grow a lot of our own food, that has always been our dream as city folk our whole lives. So I could rob some poor millennial/Gen Z future and sell my house for what they now say it’s worth, or put it in a trust for our kids so they will always have a place to call home…so that’s what we did. Kinda sucks not getting that huge payday to buy my dream land, build the perfect tiny cabin with, but I can retire and relax on my smaller farm and hand built shed/cabin knowing my kids are able to start a family in the same home we did, and not have to put life off because they can only afford a studio apartment! I don’t understand any parent that can do that. Especially knowing they are working their ass off for “the dream”. My kids are the furthest thing from lazy or entitled. My husband and I both grew up on food stamps. We know struggle, and we don’t want that for them or any future grandbabies. My adult kids are very successful/smart/hardworking. Our oldest son is a nuclear physicist for the Air Force, he’s an Officer and 22 USAFA grad, not sure how to put all those titles in order lol, but he is smart w a great education, zero student debt. Our oldest, our daughter, is an event coordinator at Kendra Scott, she handles all the charities and has been the top earner this year for the company, no student debt. Our youngest adult son just graduated w a degree in communications and lined up a 75k a year job straight out of college, graduated on a Saturday started his new job the next Monday, super proud of him, proud of them all. Good careers, no debt, which is really important in this economy. Boys are both single, my daughter married her wife last year and luckily for them she inherited her childhood home after her grandmother passed away two years ago. So my momma heart doesn’t have to worry about her. Just my other adult sons and my two daughters who are 17 (just graduated hs) and 12, the baby who is in middle school. We are incredibly sad not a single one can afford a house in our city! Nor would I want them to spend 750k on a 1,100 sq ft brick ranch built in the 70s, it’s ridiculous! They all live in other parts of the country right now, they want to come home but because everyone has moved here in the last 5/10 years, they are priced out of the market, their hometown. It’s so sad. Like my son makes sure Russia/China doesn’t sabotage our satellites but doesn’t make enough money to live by his base…that’s crazy to me. Sorry for this long crazy tangent. I’m just so used to hearing people my age and older call younger adults lazy and entitled when I know how far from the truth that is. I would love to sell my home but cannot morally justify taking that kind of money and putting a young couple in that kind of debt. Now if they have rich parents that might be a different story 😂 But seriously, my kids can’t live an hour from the city where our land is, a 2 hr commute everyday. So I will keep the house for them, and hopefully one day they will be able to save and then buy their own home. I think more and more parents are going to find themselves in the same situation. You can’t beg for grandkids (I do not nor will I ever but so many do) while at the same time not contributing to affordable housing and childcare. Don’t get me started on the ridiculous price of childcare! I will also be a nanny to any grandkids I have free of charge until they no longer need me. We have to stop pulling the ladder up once we have climbed it ourselves, some pull it up and then shout at their kids “just make a new ladder” I just don’t get watching the kids you brought into this world fail and blame them and not this messy world the rich and corrupt have created. The middle class is holding on for dear life. If you don’t live in the US, things any better where you’re at? I also understand if you didn’t read this novel, I guess I had a lot to get off my chest. Thanks! Hope you have the best day ever❤

Lyrics [Verse 1] My friends call me a loser 'Cause I'm still hanging around I've heard so many rumors That I'm just a girl that you bang on your couch I thought you thought of me better Someone you couldn't lose You said, "We're not together" So now when we kiss, I have anger issues [Pre-Chorus] You said, "Baby, no attachment" But we're… [Chorus] Knee deep in the passenger seat and you're eating me out Is it casual now? Two weeks and your mom invites me to her house in Long Beach Is it casual now? I know what you tell your friends It's casual, if it's casual now Then baby, get me off again If it's casual, it's casual now [Verse 2] Dumb Love I love being stupid Dream of us in a year Maybe we'd have an apartment And you'd show me off to your friends at the pier [Pre-Chorus] I know, "Baby, no attachment" But we're… [Chorus] Knee deep in the passenger seat and you're eating me out Is it casual now? Two weeks and your mom invites me to her house on Long Beach Is it casual now? I know what you tell your friends It's casual, if it's casual now Then baby, get me off again If it's casual, oh, oh, oh [Bridge] Its hard being casual When my favorite bra lives in your dresser and Its hard being causal When Im on the phone talking down your sister and I try to be the chill girl that holds her tongue and gives you space I try to be the chill girl But honestly, I'm not [Chorus 2] Knee deep in the passenger seat and you're eating me out Two weeks and Your mom invites me to her Long Beach House I know what you tell your friends Baby get me off again Ohhh [Verse 3/Outro] I fucked you in the bathroom when we went to dinner Your parents at the table, you wonder why Im bitter Bragging to your friends I get off when you hit it I hate to tell the truth but I'm sorry dude you didn't I hate that I let this drag on so long now I hate myself I hate that I let this drag on so long you can go to hell
