What a day! Hope to move back to the lakes on my retirement, if I still have the legs ,this is my goal! Thank you for re inspiring me again. Did a few walks whilst I lived in a town called Millom but only short, big times ahead! Thanks again!

Opening drone footage and music absolutely amazing, certainly one of the best vloggers on you tube, looking forward to returning to the Lakes when allowed. Stay Safe Glen and looking to your next vlog.

I did this route over 20 years ago before the chockstone first arrived so didn’t even know that one had come and gone since. It’s been great to relive this and recap the places I have been. Thanks for all the time and effort put into drones and photo video - it really is superb!!
@andrewbeale25853 жыл бұрын
A beautifully filmed video, and the still shots were wonderful too. Lord's Rake looks as good as when I did it. Foxes Tarn is a much more sensible route than Broad Stand, which can only be done on the driest summer days. This rates as one of the best days out in the Lakes, and I am glad you had Scafell and Scafell Pike summits to yourself. I am very homesick for the Lakes while being stuck in this dreadful lockdown, but you have made my day infinitely better watching this. Thank you.

Love the aerial footage, turns a hill walking video into something epic and magical. The scale and ruggedness just pops out of the screen. Awesome.

I think it's safe to say this is one of my many favourite places to watch you climb. The Lord's Rake is a tough one but what a mesmerizing sight, I'm in awe. Well done you deserve a pint. 🍺🍺

Wow! Edge of the seat stuff while you were going up Lord's Rake - kept shouting at the screen 'put the camera down and hold on to the rocks!'. Amazing drone footage too - some of the best. Thank-you!

Yes I agree with the comment below. I like your delivery. You talk with us rather than to us. Also you are providing an excellent reference and guide for us all. Actually the National Park and Lake District Tourism should be paying yoù money!

Ill never forget dislodging a large rock on a climb there 20 years ago. There was an inversion so I never saw much, but heard the crashing of rocks below me. Luckily nobody was there.

I've only done Scafell Pike twice, once at 03.30 hrs, whilst doing the National Three Peaks, and on both occasions it was absolutely pouring down so there were no views whatsoever. Great video. 👍

Me and misses have done that same route about 3 years ago in the summer around 26 degrees and it was a killer way to hot 🥵 lords rake is challenging and in our group of 6 a couple of women froze whilst heading down the first section before lords rake and one our colleges helped them along to lords rake and then up to the top one of the best days views we have ever had .another top video 👍👍👍👍

On our first ever wild camp we went up the lords rake then sca fell to mickledoor just like that for a nights camp. It nearly killed us dragging a 18 kg bag up there, so I can fully appreciate how hard going that was. It’s a hell of a down and up off the back of sca fell too! Some cracking footage and a lot of effort put into this video well done. Really enjoyed this and love the views of gable they were stunning. All the best.

Hiya Glen - I got a two day overnight pass last weekend so popped over to Church Stile camp site at Nether Wasdale. Helvellyn via Striding and back down Swirral on the Saturday... then a big tick off the bucket list on Sunday - Scafell Pike, then Scafell via Lord's Rake and the West Wall Traverse! I wish I'd done it your way, rather than down from Mickledore! Your video just brought it all back and we took a near identical line up Lord's :-)

New subscriber! I’ve been following you on Instagram for a while now, I love your editing style. Moody! Watched this entire video. I’m always in the Lakes and I’m a photographer myself, but I never know how to climb mountains etc. usually alone as well, as the Mrs is boring and the dog is a psychopath and will probably pull me over the edge. But yeah, enjoyed the video. RIP drone (and me if the Mrs ever sees this comment) 😂

Amazing footage! On a lockdown, home-sick search of my home-from-home, I was so pleased to find this top notch footage. Also including one of my favourite routes! West Wall Traverse is my usual avoid-the-crowds snack spot! Great relaxed but informative commentary too. Even though I've hiked that area extensively and for me you were not explaining new info, you were talking in such a way it felt like a casual face to face confirmation of a shared experience and I actively listened! I'm so pleased to see quite a bit of other content to click on too! Subscribed! As soon as weather, lockdown, lighter pack and a head mount permit, I'd love to see your takes on Skew Ghyll and Cust's Gully on Great End or threading Napes Needle. Sitting watching my footage back looks like a shaking monkey filmed it! :) Safe travels! I can't wait to see where this channel takes us all!
