Well, the first culprit only killed someone cause someone was trying to kill him in desperation, and the second one felt really bad about what he did. The fourth one didn't kill anyone but herself. And to come to think of it, Celestia may be the most selfish, but at least her motive makes sense still. I think the most psychopathic has to be Junko cause she doesn't need much reason to kill people.

Makoto Naegi: If he was inside the bag, it would have been impossible for him to tie the knot from the outside! Byakuya Togami: But then, how did he do it? Makoto Naegi: It's simple, he didn't. Celestia Ludenberg: What?! What are you saying? Makoto Naegi: I'm saying my client wasn't hiding in that bag at all, he was stuffed in there...by this very witness! Hifumi Yamada: [confused] What?! Makoto Naegi: As you can see by this doctor's analysis, the defendant took quite the beating. While he was in the bag, he was unconscious! Celestia Ludenberg: This...this is absurd! Makoto Naegi: The witness attempted to dispose of the body, so he left the defendant in the bag, knowing he would drive by on the way back to the bank. When the witness and his partner passed the bag, he convinced his partner to throw the bag in with the others. Byakuya Togami: But, why would he do that? Makoto Naegi: Why, to dispose of the body of course. There are millions of bags of money in that bank and the witness knew it would take a long time before the victim was found. But unfortunately for the witness, his victim woke up and tried to escape from his tomb. He was arrested on the spot and the witness thought everything was over. But it's coming back to haunt him now! Hifumi Yamada: You guys can't...He can't...This...THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! [5 Minutes Later...] Byakuya Togami: [Satisfied] Well, that certainly was an interesting trial. However, I am now ready to deliver my verdict. I find the defendant, Yasuhiro Hagakure...[the words "Not Guilty" appear on screen] Parody of the "Lawyered Up" path from Escaping the Prison of the Henry Stickmin collection.

Honestly this has to be my favorite third case because here since it's the first game and actually works because the shock factor is bigger and the complexity of this case is really the only one that reaches the second and third games I'm even willing to argue that this case is more complex than let's say Danganronpa 2 Case 2! I pretty much agree, Kyoko is very smart and carrying the game on her shoulders. Celesgiri >>> Makoto x Kirigiri Chiaki is pretty cool, but is the only one who actually died in the end, which makes me very sad :C. The best female characters are the protagonists' partners, though I feel we should exclude Kaede from that mark since she didn't even make it through the first trial... still love her. I still love Leon, Taka, Mondo and Chihiro. They are my favourites.

Hm. Both are liars, both dress kind of crazily, both have unpredictable emotions, both have a certain specified drink they like (for Celeste it’s tea and for Kokichi it’s carbonated drinks), both have some kind of superiority complex, and both came up with extremely convoluted plans in a trial only to start having a tantrum when things start falling apart (for Celeste obviously this one, for Kokichi Trial 4). They really are alike.

Not true, taka is one of the best characters in the danganronpa saga, celeste is just someone who only cares about herself and doesn't have a shred of personality hifumi is a good guy, "saved" (if Taka wasn't innocent) heavenly and was betrayed she's smart i can't deny, but, best character? to say that would be a lie let's review, the reasons for sayaka (failed) to kill was to save her friends, for leon, high defense, mondo, to ensure that his secret was not leaked, now celestia, celestia was in no financial condition and could very well get the money by betting , besides that castle was useless

Rewatching this after ive completed the game, it is painfully obvious that celeste is the culprit. If she hadnt tried to push that it was hiro so much and denied that hifumi faked his death in the nurses office but instead ask how hifumi was alive even with all the blood it would have been a much more confusing case atleast for me

Honestly ion know bout you all but this chapter was actually pretty fun and interesting to me, I honestly love Celeste (not as much a I love aoi) but I wish the motive was better but it also fits her character since she’s the ultimate gambler meaning she probably took her chances to get the money and killed somebody. Either wise, the only chapter three I hate with my life was DR2 that was so bad, I had no idea what was happening, Mikans execution sucked, Mikan sleeping with hajime scared me to death TWICE, Mikan being fan service sucked. Anyways this chapter was honestly pretty cool and I love celestia and I love the way she had an outburst of anger. She’s so silly 😋

When they started pointing their fingers on Celeste when she said "-just like how those guys died.", she could have countered it by saying: "I was referring to the previous victims, like Sayaka and Leon. The term "guys" can be used to refer to a group of people, regardless if the group has female members, isn't that correct?" But yeah, despite that, there was still plenty of evidence to pinpoint her to the crime, so that wouldn't be much of a deal. Not to mention that this was originally Japanese, so perhaps the word "guys" in their language must only refer to male.
