tbf with yae. she generally wants to use her skills early in your team's rotation, and then later you burst when the skills are about to expire anyway. it's more efficient that way. but obviously it's fine if you hate her anyway lol.

Yae would be a lot more fun to play if using her burst refreshed/kept the turrets, or if casting her skill did anything more than placing them down. Like i-frames, using it to dodge would be cool. Or any damage at all, so casting them more often wouldn't be a dps loss.

@@alexprus7953 i play yae a lot and you can actually dodge while deploying her turrets, there aren't any i frames but the movement is still a no stamina way to move quickly, it's more useful than you may think if you get a feel for enemy movements. also personal feels crafting opinion yae feels far more satisfying than emilie (a frequently compared turret character) who imo feels incredibly unimpactful, i know she's good damage and easier to play i'm talking purely about game feel. like all her damage just sorta happens, the sfx and animations make it feel like she's doing less than she is to me... and i don't know how yae casting her skills, her main damage source, is a dps loss?? if you are double casting her skills that is genuinely a skill issue, its not that hard to get a feel for her timing within a team rotation.

I also used to regret pulling for Yae. Back then I pulled for her because I really like her design & burst animation but then as time went by her gameplay is kinda boring & her ER requirement is annoying to manage. But after I got Tighnari, I end up loving the quick swap team with both of them so my regret faded away lol.

I love my Lyney honestly so glad I pulled him and not Arlecchino he's a lot of fun for me and if i could only get one 5* character it would be him (sorry Furina). ​@@karantej6702 I have to disagree, her base defensive stats are quite high and her playstyle allows for constant dodges, she can feel fragile on mobile where you cant really dodge too well, but xingqiu is one of her best teammates, and in her teams where she wouldnt use any kind of shield/damage reduction (mainly overload) her energy regeneration is so high you can burst all the time

i love raiden but i heavily agree with you on her character writing and design. grief is one of the worst things a person goes through, and they handled the execution like…that??? 😭 it’s such a shame because she could’ve been the first antagonistic character with a redemption arc. but, nope. we got a quest for the loser “waifu” collectors who probably haven’t seen a woman other than their mom in years and a mediocre quest for people who actually want to see more of raiden. i’m of the belief that revealing clothing isn’t inherently sexual but raiden is really pushing it. she’s a literal dictator and warrior and they made her chest, arguably the most vulnerable part of the body, insanely uncovered and unprotected 😭 it doesn’t even make sense when you take into account that she’s the leader of her nation bc they made her kimono WAYYY to short. tldr; i hate hoyoverse’s gooner developers, and i’m glad they’re slowly getting better designing characters (especially the women) i’m glad they got better with the writing as seen in fontaine and sumeru. i’m excited to see what they do with mavuika

Yeah. Raiden has a crappy character design and is horribly-written, both story wise and character wise. She's supposed to be a leader and dictator, but she's nothing but a clueless idiot with a childlike mindset. She is NOT prepared to be a leader of her nation, not with her lack of experience in actually leading a nation. She would need good advisers who do have leadership skills to aid her, but she doesn't, making her look foolish. She is UNWORTHY of the leadership role. Her revealing clothes are really pushing it in a very bad way. You can tell the idiots at Mihoyo are trying to sell her as sexy, but it's way too much with her bad design. It's in your face. A truly sexy character will be Makima from Chainsaw Man; she makes her conservative outfit so hot from her gestures and posture ALONE. Her outfit is NOT designed for combat, especially since her chest is exposed and unprotected, perfect for targeting. No armor of sort to protect it. She looks like a prostitute with that extremely short skirt, even though she's supposed to be the leader of her nation who has to take over for her dead elder sister. Let's not forget about her atrocious Archon Quest and terrible two Story Quests. The second Story Quest was mid as hell and did nothing to redeem her in any meaningful way. The first Story Quest was worthless, especially in how it was executed. The Archon Quest was rushed to hell and nobody of major importance did anything worthwhile.

Unfortunately I agree with Yae and Raiden for the most part. Unfortunately, because Inazuma and its' characters are still my favorite in GI. I truly think Inazuma had the best setup in the game. The hype was there, it was the first new region added, it was far away and you couldn't just walk in there randomly. Our arrival in Ritou is such a core memory in my Genshin journey it's insane. To this day, nothing beats the introduction they cooked up. Newer regions don't even come close (they are far superior in terms of overall writing, so it isn't that big of a flex though lol). The Prologue and Acts I and 2 were good. The story basically fell apart as soon as we went to Watatsumi Island. Raiden's story quest gave me such an ick, the waifu treatment was through the roof it made me viscerally uncomfortable considering what the entire story was about. I really liked Yae Miko's design as well as Raiden's (though I distinctively remember a lot of discourse about Ei and how people HATED the braid in particular, lol) so I was excited to pull for them, and while Raiden is in no way a regret for me, still has a special place in my heart, dishes out decent damage as I have her C2R1... Yae Miko... Yae Fucking Miko was hands down the most disappointing character in this game for me. To this day I remember trying her out fresh after pulls, looking at the damage and slowly feeling my stomach sinking. Benched since then. Maybe in the future I'll dust her off for a hyperbloom team or something. Oh yeah, Ganyu was god awful too lol

Inazuma was trash in its final act for its Archon Quest. Raiden's two Story Quests are garbage in how they were executed and written. That discourse was so long ago, right? Also, Raiden practically looks like a prostitute in her design, especially since her chest is unprotected and exposed (the most vulnerable part).

I appreciate this especially as a newer player that discovered and joined Genshin late (4.8) to see how by joining later, while I unfortunately missed some things, it also greatly informs my perspective now for future pulls. Truly this is a fantastic reminder to make sure you *actually* like a character, don’t get unrealistically swayed by other reviews or views while keeping an open mind on a character’s pros and cons, and if you don’t like them (personality/design/game style) reflect first on their true necessity or your long-term use potential before pulling, and if you are pulling for META, you might come to regret that as the power tier ranking is in constant flux - so sincerely, go for those you like, ideally they hold META/some form of account value, try not to be upset if you pull and come to regret it but learn from the experience going forward to avoid similar disappointment, and after all that, enjoy the rest!

Wherever Yae can go, Fischl can too and even do a better job at it. Aggravate is an electro reaction, so it triggers Fischl's A4 passive nonstop while Clorinde is doing her main dps shenanigans.

And one of the best plunge teams with Xianyun, (yae hyperplunge - Yae,Nahida,Furina, Xianyun) Yes, she was bad when she released, but rn she's a contender for the best electro limited 5* (not that there's much competition there tho)

Ayato I have a bit of regret for because his personality is a bit off-putting and he got benched by Neuvillette, though he helped me get by for a while and is still useful in Inaginarium Theater I guess. Hu Tao even at C1 has taken a while for me to warm up to and I'm reluctant to pull for Arlecchino because I don't want her to get Ayato'd, and did she help me get my first 36* abyss clear recently. I think Hu Tao has a fun personality though, and I'm actually looking forward to trying her with Xilonen.

I enjoy ayato as more of a low Skill tartaglia, i would not bring him into the same content i bring Nuvi in but i get it. Also if you have C1 hu Tao and you dont love Arle just dont pull her. The difference is no that big. My Arle does around 50k ( on average ) autos and my Hu Tao does 136k Charges.

i never liked hutao, but honestly i think she's in a good place now. she has plunge as an option, and her new xilonen team (furina, xilonen, hutao, yelan) does a hell of a lot of damage because xilonen boosts not only hutao, but also furina and yelan. my xilonen is c2r1 and furina is c3, but just the fact that yelan is doing over 20k per hit (so 60k+ per wave) with a favonius bow makes her almost like an extra on-field dps on top of hutao already doing 130k charged attacks at c0 + dragon bane (so barebones hutao)

I used my free 5* to get Dehya's C2, and she actually has some teams where she's useful nowadays. I suppose Pyro archon will completely replace her for off-field pyro application, but who knows, maybe someday I will C6 Dehya anyway and let her take the field with top tier supports carrying her.

I'd like to throw my 2 cents (I have every single character in the game except Wriothesley and Mualani): - Raiden : I still play her. A lot. Her "investement-to-power" ratio is pretty low which is great and while now Arlecchino and Neuvillette are the top dogs in 4.x and 5.x, I still play her a lot given how versatile she is and how I often "coach" my friends to help them clear the abyss (and even Theater to some extent), I realize that my friends with less characters and game knowledge than me tend to have a very easy time with Raiden. So I have to kinda disagree here. Yeak, I'll probably get faster clears with Arlecchino Vape or Hyper Neuvillette, but I can still easily recommend her to most people. Her writing sucks though, I kinda agree. Even though I kinda liked her backstory with Makoto & co., yeah her redemption arc felt unearned. (It was the Inazuma arc anyways... where the writing quality was at its all-time low). Even the whole "fighting the Shogun for 500 years during her 2nd Archon quest, felt... so-so. - Miko : OK, this is where I'll bite. I also play her. A lot. Both of my friends picked Tighnari as the Anniversary reward and started playing him. I ALWAYS tell the friend who has Miko to go for Miko instead of Fischl. ALWAYS. My friend who has Miko consistently performs better than the one that doesn't and has to stick to Fischl instead (even though the latter has a better bow on Tighnari). Miko's main con (too much field time) is nicely counterbalanced by Tighnari's Quickswap playstyle. There are also multiple abyss rotations where I got my friends to play her as a carry and she performed pretty well, helping them secure the 9 stars. Especially against "Cancer Impact" bosses who like to move around a lot, fly or go underground (especially against the Wenut where she can take care of his Anemo Bubbles phase by herself without needing a bow character). Oh and I also disagree with your Fischl vs. Miko: --Fischl vs Miko ICD : This is where you're unfortunately wrong. Fischl HAS an ICD. Her E has a special ICD : once every 4 hits or every 5 seconds. The thing that doesn't have an ICD is the proc of her A4 which makes her interesting in Dendro teams. Do you know what doesn't have an ICD? Miko's burst AND charged attacks. All 4 lightnings of her burst will apply Electro and can trigger Aggravate and so will all of her charged attacks (that can be jump-canceled BTW). I think both Fischl and Miko have their place. I perform better with Fischl with carries that spam Normal Attacks and can make Oz shoot faster thanks to her C6 like Clorinde, Taser or Hyperbloom Kokomi and Vapeload Yoimiya. I tend to play Miko as a carry, in Tighnari teams or in Quicken Alhaitham teams (Because Spread counts as a Dendro reaction, making Fischl's A4 triggers less consistent since it only applies if your active character triggers an Electro reaction). --Fischl snapshots and Yae Miko doesn't : This is true. But given most of the time I play both of them in Bennett-less teams, I don't really care about that. --There are very few instances where you want 2 Fischls : The Theater wants a word with you. 4.7 (1st edition) had Electro, the current edition also asks for Electro... and the next one will require Electro. And I guarantee you that I'll be playing both Miko and Fischl. --Personnality : ...ahem... OK I kinda agree with you. I don't really like her. While I understand she's suppose to be a "playful kitsune" and Kitsunes are supposed to be tricksters, I feel Hoyoverse failed to give her some development. Like for example, during her quest, she only accepted to investigate the whole "spirits" situation when she felt like the sales of the Yae Publishing House were threatened. That's bad, but hey, I can get behind that since it's a character flaw that can be addressed. But nope. Everyone's cool with it. And she never gets any comeuppance for any of her "pranks" or actions (yeah, I know people find the Yae/Gorou interactions funny, but I really dream for Gorou to get back at her for once). - Ganyu : Back during the "Morgana" days, she was indeed Meta. Nowadays I don't play her much, even though I got Tighnari's bow during the last Chronicle banner and in her Melt/Burnmelt teams, she hits pretty hard indeed. But yeah, I can understand why standing still and waiting isn't necessarily fun. You like Kinich and I can see why Playing Initial D around enemies while raining down bullets on them would feel more fun than standing still holding Left click. I recently got his C1, andI can't wait to finish my build with him and get a feel for his playstyle. To each their own I guess? And personality-wise... yeah, this was the "overworked waifu" era of Genshin. Between her, Jean and Keqing, it was difficult for her to stand out. - Lyney : I like Lyney. I usually bench him a lot despite having him + his signature weapon, but for this Abyss, I tried his Furina comp in the 1st half and he's pretty great. But same thing as Ganyu : I can understand the dislike for his "stand still and aim" playstyle. But at least, both Ganyu and Lyney give me an excuse to play Dehya and that's a W in my book (And so does Burn Kinich BTW). - Eula : This is... frustrating. She's my favorite character in Genshin ever. I like her a lot, especially because she reconciled me with the "tsundere" trope where people are casually OK with tsunderes be abusive to their entourage. And Hoyo gave us a tsundere... that is actually pretty... CHILL! Jokes aside... while I can clear the Abyss pretty consistently with her, I admit that her competition is rude and I wouldn't recommend her to most people. I consider her to be a "premium" character, because given how I have her signature weapon, Elegy Yelan, Raiden and C6 Jean, I can consistently ult for 400k+ without Bennett (I C6'd him anyways...) but without all of that, it's tough recommend her when Arlecchino & co. exist. Sorry for the "rant" about Miko if it came out as confrontational or so, I like both Miko and Fischl and while I also think Miko isn't that of an important character to pull on an account, I feel like a lot of people tend to downplay her actual strengths and prop up Fischl when it's uncalled for given how both characters can stand on their own merits and this conclusion can be reached without resorting to mistakes like this. Nice video anyways. It's nice to see the "chiller" side of "Soul of an Artist". Subbed.

I love playing Yae, she's best for supporting spread Tighnari, and she's very fun in aggrevate - the fact she doesn't snapshot is actually great, you don't have to worry to set up vv before setting her turrets - you just place them and can re-buff her any time you want. Nowadays it's clear she's made for quickswap, especially spread teams, where Fishl does jack shit; also Yae is not tied to her burst to have constant uptime, while Fishl with her long cooldowns is. Also no Yae personality is not "hey I like sex". It's Lisa's (I hate Lisa), she constantly flirts with us, and I know we're eternal star beings but we do canonically look underage in the world which is double weird. Yae just uses us for her own gain and she doesn't fuck with humans in the sex way at all which I appreciate, especially in Inazuma where half the cast swoons over us (I hate Ayaka so much). I'm glad I only pull only characters I really like so I can forever avoid regrets lol.

I accidentally got Yae Miko. Won her 50/50 and everything. She's sitting on my account at level 60 lol, same with Cloud retainer at 40. I only pull for men unless we're talking about buffers (Nahida, Xilonen) so you can only imagine the disappointment of winning their 50/50 at low pity trying desperately to get 4 star constellations. I could have Lyney and Furina or a Baizhu right now. But instead I'm stuck with two characters that fit in none of my teams because either a 4 star outshines them or I don't have xiao.

Raidens burst lasts around 9 seconds actually and she’s pretty decent, Yae shouldn’t have to use eee q eee if you do your rotations right, at least on most teams, Yae is more of a dps she doesn’t really share the same role as Fischl

in my opinion, i feel like lyney is better than ganyu because you dont sit there charged attacking for very long, yes it is his biggest source of dmg but your probably gonna do ur rotation then come in with ur burst (or end with it) charged attk twice or 3 times, skill, swap and do it again, i see him similar to tighnari being a very quick swappy character. thats how he does the best for me but i may be playing wrong i suppose if thats not the case

The character I thought would be my first regret pull was Kinich. I only really wanted Chevreuse for my Arlecchino team. I ended up with her C2 at now, but my Kinich at C2 and R1 (the R1 is a subtle hint that I ended up really liking him). He's not fully built yet, but man is he fun. I'm sure he will be lots more fun and powerful when I acquire him a Mavuika. I wanted her anyways, since I refuse to use Xinagling or Bennet, so it's a win in my books

True. Initially we all thought bow is super cool as we can attack from distance. But with abyss and most end game modes focusing on time limits, archery seems least effective. People dont even like claymore dps users as they attack slower than swords. In any other game, i would pick bow over guns and melee 😅, but in genshin, i will pick anything but bows.

Would be better to use these pulls for C2 Nahida, who was rerun right after. And I am still not sure about whether I regret pulling Kinich or not. I won’t deny inazuma got character development problems i invested on Ei and Miko pulling C2 and their weapons on reruns cause they are best electric sub DPS and won’t need to bother pulling new one however they have crapy personality like kazowa and Ayaka so i don’t main them on hyper carry teams, speaking of Ayaka she’s my first limited character which is regretful cause her building is region locked and I reached inazuma several months later to avoid burnout plus I also pulled Yelan and Shenhe got extremely delayed so Ayaka got benched for year

i pulled ayato on his first banner because i thought his design and skills were pretty, also i wanted to use him for ayaka freeze. then i took a 2 month break from the game. when i came back, yelan was on banner and kazuha was about to be reran. i could have had a yelan instead of ayato... my biggest regret by far. (edit: forgot to mention that i leveled him to 80 when i came back to the game and haven't used him since) part of me regrets pulling chiori, because she's about to be replaced by xilonen, but i like her design and running around with her so overall i find it to be a net gain.

I don't know if the author will see this comment, but I'll say it anyway: In fact, I expected to hear another unjustified hate towards Eula from 99% of brainless Genshin content creators, but the author turned out to be a person with an adequate opinion, his words at the end of the video confirm this. I can't argue or even condemn someone else's opinion, so I'll just say that I'm glad there are still sane people left. I don't have characters that I regret because aesthetics and style always come first for me. And I pull all the desired characters with love and willingness to play with them.

I would say the character I regret pulling the most would be Eula from my old account. This was mainly out of desperation to get a five star whose gameplay I enjoyed, and back then before I realized physical units weren't that great I played characters like Razor and Eula however looking back on it now if I was still playing on that old account I would've switched to better mains a long time ago. Now on my new main, I have Ayato whose skill allows me to use his basic physical attack but apply hydro and do lots of damage in fast attacks

I sort of regret Ayaka. She carried me during the early game but she really fell of in both damage and likability for me. I never pulled another electro 5-star because Keqing supremacy but I don't regret even Chiori or Kokomi or Nilou who I rarely play nowadays due to me screwing up Baizhu's artifacts and not being bothered to level up another instructor set. I just skipped the ones I don't care about, like Raiden Crybaby and Yae and Yoimiya and all that. Neither do I really have a regretted 5-star character in Star Rail, only not being able to E6 Qingque on my main account.

Radien I agree on. Pulled her on rerun because everyone was playing national and I couldn’t. She’s just not fun to play or strong enough (C0R1) compared to my other choices. Ganyu on the other hand had it hard from the start. Gameplay is a big challenge but melt can be extremely rewarding. Have her C6R1 but she keeps on stealing Tighnari’s bow. Haven‘t used here since some Abyss Cycles because there is just easier options that outshine her in DPS nowadays even tho mine is top 1% on akasha.

I was more disinterested of Yae due to her smug personality and her schemes that's always making the other character the butt of the joke. The closest she ever gets to being humbled is when some spirit possessed some wannabe author that made more sales than Yae's light novels shop. Side tangent: First of all, why 'light novels'? I get that it's a big industry in Japan but shouldn't the book media that always comes to mind when it comes to Japan would be manga? There's also the fact that plots of those light novels are basically referencing isekai (a relatively modern trend irl). Why not reference works from the influential manga authors like Osamu Tezuka or Go Nagai? There's even more missed opportunities like making homages to Tokusatsu where you can have Itto dress up like the bugmen of Kamen Rider.

It was used as an accessible team capable of dealing with the shields, because that abyss was a shield check not a DPS check. Nahida was never played in National as an actual National team variant. I have no idea where this guy got that from.

Now I do love Yoi when I got her, but her long ass animation atk and the fact that her biggest dmg is N5 which prohibits her to dodge while doing the atk just not that fun. She's benched for the longest time, Yae is another thing, I have her in aggravate team with Fischl and that's the only team where she can actually be slotted in, other teams that need electro apps? Fischl. Now there's Cyno, but I don't regret pulling him, just wish he has more teamcomp or be stronger, I enjoy his fast paced playstyle with the mini game, but his dmg is 😅

Sorry for Tl;dr, this is what happened when you're a fan of Mihoyo games for several years before Genshin even released during the escalation of Pandemic 4 years ago lol, "Raiden Mei" & "Bronyaface" Archetypes are not foreign to me both in lore-perspectives, developers-bias perspectives and realtime marketing perspectives (especially APHO Bronya, that one even surpasses Mihoyo games' reaches by this point), but it's terminus Finality degrees of depth by that even abyss had way surpassed, pretty much reinforcing my insanity, unless something happened at video game industry that are so massive that it even affects Mihoyo, FGO, Kurogames, Nintendo, etc. (though I wouldn't count on that, not to mention Mihoyo is a limited company that's recently got full support by CCP so you don't see foreign investors from Western companies imposing into their developer designs, with certain "rules and checklists", like how Ubisoft being the literal cradle of SBI, just look at Ubisoft today)

So my account is cooked? I pulled for Raiden shogun, Ayaka, cyno, zhongli,kazuha. Tbh I don’t even use zhongli that much 😅kazuha is the only good one here since his released, he been a great character and fun to play with. I pulled for Raiden shogun C3R1 because I loved her play style and she become a core character for my team since I lack dps. Aiming for 500k dmg (currently almost 350k lvl80,burst is 11, missing Sara and chev as one of her best character team for her also her artifact is shit cuz my luck is bad trying to get electro goblet and good ER sand sub-stats).😢sad that she he been power creep but I cope 😊I like her play style so I wasn’t really regretting it. Cyno I honestly don’t know why I pulled him maybe cuz I want a 4 star character and end up getting him early. Ayaka…she was once a meta dps back then when I pulled for her but never build her.
