Thanks for this. Nothing wrong with using those ingredients, not everyone have the time to spend on the kitchen preparing ingredients when they are already too busy with other stuff. Better than eating fast-food, and looks great.

Agree about the cheddar. There's no reason not to use all mozzarella. For the rest, that's what she says you should do ideally but she is trying to save as much time as possible.

OK, I get the bash about how this is not haute cuisine. But, this was a quick meal in a small amount of time on a budget. Those eggplant could have been done in August yourself on the grill, then you could have it in December. I usually make my own tomato sauces, but I am not averse to a good jar. This is good home cooking, you were just expecting too much.

This was her crash-and-burn series. Nearly everything seemed to contain 'frozen mashed potato', which I assume is as revolting as it sounds! If you want to see classic Delia, look at the Summer and Winter Collection episodes --->

No it's not revolting at all actually. I made 3 different recipes with it to my guests who berate me for using it, and they adored it. I told them it was frozen and they weren't happy having to accept it tasted delicious, but they did.
