Delia I used to watch you cooking on tv in the 70's when I was a young child. I'm now almost 60 and all I have of you are good memories. I must get hold of your cookery books.

What a fascinating life you have! So nice to see England through the years I have been alive. I am American, but have always had a fondness for all things English. Someday when and if the world is right again, I would love to travel there. I love British television and most of the KZbin channels I subscribe to are from England. So glad I found your channel!

Thank you so much. I’m a massive foodie, but Delia taught me how to cook, and if in doubt or just uninspired I always go back to her. She’s my culinary comfort blanket

With all her money, you'd think she'd get her teeth fixed

@dougraddi908 Why do you care about her personal appearance?She obviously isn't vain about her teeth .She cares about baking and cooking.She gave me the confidence to bake and cook and I won't hear a word against her.

Della taught me how to cook. She’s saint Delia
@dallassukerkin68782 жыл бұрын
Aye - I have had to relearn how to cook after becoming a widower and Saint Delia has literally saved my bacon more than once. If I am stuck and can't see what I am supposed to do then she's the one I turn to.

This is my all-time favourite episode, but I didn`t know she was a swimsuit model for the Sunday Pictorial, but they turned her down, because she wasn`t sexy enough according to the programme, and also I didn`t know she`s a Rolling Stones fan, especially making a gaudy cake for their 1969 album-Let It Bleed [when I was 2 years old at the time, when their album was released], and good narration from Stephen Fry, and he`s absolutely great throughout.
