Don't get me wrong - he would never have been better than Chuck overall, but he could have been close. Sean Kemp was a monster during his short prime years. The combo of speed and power and dominating the boards was otherworldly. People always remember the 93 Suns Chuck for their finals run but Chuck had his peak years in Phili especially his 1990 season where he claims he was robbed of the MVP from Magic which I agree he should have won, young Chuck was agile, mobile and explosive and was underrated defensively. He even admits that he was a better player with the 76ers because he was more athletic. He was unparalleled in his efficiency during his short peak from 87~93, unprecedented advanced stats nerds' wet dream lol. He won the MVP in 93 but tbh that should have gone to MJ but that was Chuck's best all around team, thrilling and the toughest matchup to the 90s bulls on par with the 96 Sonics. It's crazy how he never had a season where he averaged less than a double-double even in his old and banged up final decline years in Houston. Man was he a beast at boxing out and grabbing rebounds. The GOAT of the ringless.

America finally got to see how great a player Charles Barkley was in 1993 and he was able to put his team on his back.

Barkley said God told him he wanted the Suns to win a championship that year, but not even God could stop Michael Jordan

@Defender80s In fact, here's a quotation from Tim Perry in the Worcester (MA) "Telegram & Gazette" from January 25, 1993, after the Suns defeated the Celtics in Boston the previous night. Perry scored 20 points on 10-16 shooting in that game. K.J. scored 21 points with 16 assists, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and just 2 turnovers in 43 minutes, attempting only the sixth-fewest field goals on the team (9), yet scoring the most points.
