People who never saw, will never know just how great Charles Barkley was at the game of basketball. One of the nicest guys who treats everyone he crosses equally. I met him at a Phillies vs Mets game just before the 92 Olympics. I remember vividly, in my squeeky 10 year old voice, the Mets just won, Charles is actually a Mets fan and give a fist pump (this was at the old vet), and I said "good luck in Barcelona Mr Barkley." He looked me dead in the eye, put his hand on my shoulder, and said "I appreciate that young man. Thank you, and God bless." Signed the back of my dad's dry cleaning receipt, I'll always love Chuck.

😂😂😂jokes this another Jordan hater. A lot of them don't have rings because of the goat MJ. No one is talking about how Isaiah turn the team against MJ in his first all star game. And that's why the league decided not to have him on team after Mike went to them and told them that he does want to be on the team with Isaiah. And I don't blame him for doing it. Isaiah was a hater simple. Great player but not a loyal teammate.

I remember seeing that on some basketball reference list and didn't make much of it until recently! It's crazy that a PG was able to do that in an era where you were expected to feed the bigs on offense, the 3 point shot didn't exist, and therefore you didn't have the spacing to drive to the basket 1-on-1! He lead the league in scoring as a 6"-ish PG scoring 2s! That's really impressive!

Riiiight. There's a reason Scottie, MJ, Bird, Magic didn't want him on that team. Isiah earned that disdain. You make choices and you have to live with the consequences. Nobody is saying Isiah is an awful guy or that he wasn't an amazing player who's talent should've been represented in the Olympics but did anyone see or hear Chuck Daley going to the mat for him? Chuck was his coach but he didn't say "look, my boy deserves to be here. If you want me as coach he has to play". Chuck knew how the top players felt and thought destroying team chemistry wasn't worth it for a guy who adds nothing to the team and Chuck was right.
@NoGreater1
@NoGreater1 4 жыл бұрын
Isiah was not a dirty player you can't find not one footage of him personally making a dirty foul. So stop saying he was a dirty player! You also can't find not one player that said that Isiah told them to put out an hit or issued a foul order on any player period! It was Laimbeer, Mahorn, and Roman actually committed the hard fouls along with the other Pistons big men that everyone's always complaining about. However you rarely hear anything said about them outside of Laimbeer. Roman dang near killed Pippen but you don't hear nothing much about that at all because he ended up becoming one of their teammates, just a bunch of whiny hypocrites!!!!!

I remember thinking, well, maybe Clyde is closer to Jordan in talent than I thought. Like on cue, all of a sudden Jordan went on a tear. One spectacular play after another, culminating with a dunk where he jumped at around the free throw line and soared over what seemed like 4 or 5 players. Greatest dunk in a game I ever saw. He (and a lot of others) wants to simplified that to “they left me out because o didn’t shocked his hand” so he can be de victim and claim “i met the criteria I should’ve been there” that’s way easier than say “I had beef with some of them and that’s why they didn’t want to play with me” right? @@Daniel-zf3hz by what standards? Can't be winning since MJ never lost a final or even went to a game 7. Can't be number of rings because that would be Bill Russell. Other than being part of the younger generation that thinks what they're seeing right now is the best ever no matter the sport. What's ur standard for declaring LeBron the goat?

Went to Knicks/Piston game (in NYC) back in the day and Isaiah made an incredible no look snap pass and the entire crowd went nuts. Very rare for Knick fans to cheer "the enemy." He was one of my favorite players and I wish his legacy wasn't tainted by a few bad decisions.

Did he mean to say 'David Robinson and Patrick Ewing" re best centers? he said "Scottie Pippen", which didn't make much sense.

Man, Charles did it all on the court. Great scorer especially on post ups and coast to coast plays. Arguably the greatest rebounder for his size ever. Underappreciated defender with scrappy defense and actually a surprisingly decent rim protector.

Michael Jordan is just in his feelings that everyone doesn’t bow down to him, Zeke is still one of the greatest to ever do it, he deserves more respect from true basketball fans

Nah MJ got respect for the game. He didn’t respect Isaiah lack of sportsmanship. Magic didn’t like him, Scottie, and a few more. He had the talent to be on the team; but he would have been bad for the team’s morale.

@@eazyduzit-tr3nx Facts. MJ only attacked his personality which clearly other guys felt the same. He never let his feelings effect how he spoke of Zeke's basketball skills.

Well the basketball fans from Chicago always booed Isaiah and he was from Chicago. That's why he had animosity toward Jordan. An outsider was getting all the attention and praise and the hometown boy was not. Isaiah said it himself.
