My mom is exactly like this, as much as I love her some people always think about themselves and what youre doing to them, not whats happening to you. Really sad, some parents could just use some listening of their kids and lose the toxic "Im the parent Youre the child" mindset because it helps no one and hurts everyone in the family

As much as he’s a loving and caring parent he’s also a super involved psychiatrist which would lead to him overworking himself and never being home. Especially when the divorces happend and the mothers moved away from the state with the children which made it harder to stay in contact and be a good doctor

Cluster B personality disorders are awful. Nothing is ever that bad or their fault. everyone else is always overdramatic or oversensitive. No one gets them. at least, in their minds. I had to cut off my cluster B parents and everyone in my family chose them. You wouldn't believe what they are capable. My mom threw a surprise second funeral because we dared to have the services by our home and not hers. She then blamed it on my grandma. It was both of them. my daughter's death had to be more about them.

@@sunnight8287 I can believe it. He’s just a friendlier version of House. He sees people like puzzles and, while it’s done wonders for his diagnostic skills, it hasn’t done the same for his interpersonal relationships, especially when they don’t directly involve him or can be seen through his eyes. You can tell he gets bored or lethargic when dealing with family and uses his psychology know how on them.

I have a parent like Susan. You try to talk to them about how you are feeling or problems and they immediately get defensive and think you are accusing them of being a bad parent. They also seem to have a negative viewpoint of receiving help regarding mental health. Susan seems to have a similar viewpoint, probably from Charles. My parent isn't a bad one, and neither is Susan, but just like Anna, I don't tell my parent anything anymore because at a time when I would seek help and support I only got a negative reaction. Guess I am saying overall I feel for Anna and Charles. It's frustrating.
